Hey everyone!!!!!! Merry Christmas!🎅🏼☃️ Sorry I've taken so long. I had technical difficulties with this app. Lol. But I'm back regardless. That is right! No obstacles can hold me back! None! 😂😂😂 Btw. I am soooo excited about the new Assassins Creed movie! My fantasy wish came true! Anyways, on with the story! Lol

1781- All that could be seen was fog. Fog and more fog for miles. Overcast was all over the sky and the sea was dark. Connor Kenway was currently at the helm of the Aquila steering her through the cold Atlantic Ocean. The coordinates that Benjamin Franklin gave to Connor pointed to an island off of the coast of Maine. The island was called Prospect Island. "Fog. Curse this fog!"thought Connor, "This fog is going to get this ship sunk on a reef if it does not dissipate soon." Faulkner came with a bottle of brandy in his hand and said, "Well, Cap'n. We should be just off the coast by now. Shouldn't be too long." Connor just looked ahead.
Then someone shouted, "Land ho!" Faulkner almost spit out his drink when he was taken by surprise. Connor pulled out his telescope and looked through it. He saw a huge cluster of land and forest head right for them. Connor quickly said in alert, "Half sail, and prepare the anchor and longboat!" The men did as he commanded. They dropped anchor off of the shore and brought down the longboats. Connor went into the longboat and Eva hopped in as well after him. "Ready, Connor?" Connor nodded in response to Eva and she loosened the ropes attaching to boat to the ship. Then, Connor began to row the boat ashore through the fog.
They came out of the boat and stepped onto the sand which seemed to mold onto their moccasins. Connor looked around and browsed the tree line. Eva came over to him and said, "Well, this is quite a gloomy looking place. Why are we here again, Connor?" The Assassin analyzed the sand. "We are to hunt down and kill a witch, Eva," replied Connor bluntly. "A witch?" responded Eva with a shocked expression, "Connor, what does a witch have anything to do with the Templars?" Connor and and Eva began to walk when Connor replied, "The witch has been associated with the Ghost. Our contacts have reported about this one in particular here and we are to make the delivery as requested." Eva looked around as they entered the darkened forest tree line and she said, "Well, then we better do it quick. And are we going to get anything out of this mission?" Connor replied, "Another one of the Ghost's Secrets perhaps."
The two Assassins climbed up into the trees and began to hop throughout the limbs. The trees were dark and very eerie. Branches were twisted around in various ways and the trees made ghoulish shadowed figures. The two Assassins went along despite the dark environment that surrounded them. They ran out of branches as they went along and that meant that they had to climb down the tree and get back onto the ground level. Connor and Eva climbed down and Eva noticed something on the ground. "Connor, look," she whispered, pointing ahead towards the ground which was full of dead leaves of pine and maple trees. Connor moved to the thing, of which Eva pointed at, and he analyzed what he saw. The object was a wooden carved totem. A totem was part of Native American Indian culture and was practiced by Northern American tribes. This one was from what looked like the Naskapi Indians.
"A totem," said Connor turning to Eva and showing her the object. Eva looked and asked, "Could this be a clue to where the witch is located?" Connor looked around and replied, "I do not know for sure. If we keep going, I am sure that we find the witch." Then, Connor gave the totem to Eva to keep it and save it, and then they kept on moving  through the dark forest. They moved quietly and with caution. A chilly breeze picked up and the hairs on Connor and Eva's spines went on end.
Then, a moan was heard through the wind. The two Assassins stopped in their tracks and became alert with much energy. "What was that?" asked Eva with a voice of terror. Connor looked around and replied and felt a presence nearby. It was a dark presence. "We are not alone," replied Connor. The wind was blowing through the dark shadows making images dance around them. A trail was ahead and it lead through the darkness. The moan was heard again, and this time, closer. In fact, the Assassins bolted into a sprint down the trail which lead into the darkness. Connor's adrenaline matched Eva's as the two Assassins ran down the trail. As they kept running, Connor stepped on a rope which made a springing noise. The rope triggered another rope off of another three and a spear shot out of the darkness toward them. Connor grabbed Eva and pulled her to the dark ground just in time to miss the spear which stuck into a tree behind them.
They got up and Eva said to him, catching her breath, "Thanks." Connor, also catching his breath, had said, "All in a day's work." Then, Connor looked at the trap and thought to himself, "The trap was set off by me stepping onto that rope. Perhaps this witch is more crafty than we can fathom." Then the moan was heard again, even closer, along with footsteps from the darkness ahead.
Connor and Eva backed up as they made out an image of someone walking awkwardly their way. Light shown upon the image as it passed a shadow and it looked like it was a very skinny woman dressed in a very long, black Shaw and robe which blew in the wind. Her skin was as pale as the light of the moon. Then she laughed a very raspy dark laugh as she continued coming near. Her hair was long and dark and only part of her face was showing from under her hair. "How dare you cross my territory! I warned the traders to flee or I'd come for their children at night! Now you will die!"
Connor pulled out his sword and said, "You! You are the witch who lives here, and cursed this place! You have been dealing with the Ghost, the 'Old Sea Captain', Samuel B. Myers, the pirate." The witch's face was more visible and a grin came upon it. "Ahhhh," she said pointing to Connor, "You must be the Assassin that he has told me so much about. The Indian pirate, Connor Kenway of the Assassin Brotherhood. You have been taking the Ghost's treasures and his secrets. A big reward would be made by your head to him." She smiled and laughed wickedly as the wind moved. "Try it," warned Connor flourishing his sword, "and I will remove your scalp from your head." The witch took a package from out of her black shawl and through it in front of the Assassins. Black smoke surrounded them and it made the darkness even more blacker. The two Assassins looked around themselves to see where the witch was. But there was nothing but echoes of laughter.
Then, from above, the witch pounced on top of Connor. He was pinned onto the ground. The Witch grabbed at his hands and said, "Surprised?" Connor ignited his hidden blades from both his wrists and the blades stabbed through her hands. He replied, "Are you?" The witch screamed in agony. Then, Eva tackled the witch off of Connor and began beating down on her. The witch pulled out a dagger and kicked Eva off of her. Eva backed up and drew her pistol, but the witch knocked it out of her hand and grabbed Eva with her bloody hands. Connor grabbed hold of the witch and threw her off of Eva. Then, the witch managed to slice at Connor's side with the dagger. Connor cringed at the pain but advanced the witch nonetheless. The witch threw the dagger at the Assassin, who dodged it skillfully and pulled out his pistol and said, "You may be a witch, but you are not immortal." Then a shot rang through the darkness of the wind. Connor looked behind him and saw Eva with her pistol pointed in that direction and the smoke that came out of its barrel. Connor then looked back at the witch that was now bleeding from her torso. She collapsed to the ground as she bled. Connor moved over to her and said, "Before you proceed to the Spirit realm, answer me these questions. Where is the Ghost, and what did he leave for you to keep for him?"
The witch coughed up blood as she said, "He....he told me that....he would haunt the nearby tribes..... and then,.......he would make way to........haunt and kill......the Assassins in America. You......are doomed now Assassin. The Ghost is.....coming for you......beware." With that the witch died. The wind picked up and the darkness seemed to consume everything. Connor didn't know how to take all of this in, but he looked at Eva and held her hand.
"Connor," she said, now shivering, "I'm cold. Let's get to the ship." Connor looked up at Eva and nodded. Then he looked back at the witch and said, "May you find the path that gives you more mercy to your eternal suffering." Then the two Assassins headed back to the Aquila.
