The sun was shining and all I could think of was how nice the snow looked. The white puffs looking so bright, cheery, and festive to say the least. I must have zoned out because i didn't hear as Eddie walked in, placing his things down, and walking toward me. We had been staying with my family for the holidays.
"Babe?" He said, walking closer. He held something behind his back as I looked at him skeptically. He smiled pulling the mistletoe from behind his back and placing it above my head. I giggled, pecking his lips before getting up.
"Can we go out in the snow?" I asked, looking as innocent as possible. Giggling, he nodded, as we got ready, heading outside. I giggled, making a snowball.
"Don't you dare.." Eddie warned too late, and I threw the ball at him, hitting him right in the face. He gave me the 'it's on' face, and suddenly our once peaceful outdoor trip turned into a chaotic snowball fight, filled with joyous laughs and fake screams. I think there may have been a few bets and vows of vengeance thrown in the mix.
It ended, finally might I add, with Eddie surrendering, soaked in melted snow. Feeling bad, I grabbed his hand, leading him inside the house, a smile on his lips. Changing clothing, and stealing a pair of his sweats, I went off to work, my mind on one track, though with much complaint and protest by a certain someone.
When I was finally done, I brought out the tray filled with cookies and two cups of hot cocoa. Placing it on the coffee table, we picked out a movie, and cuddled under a blanket, cocoa and cookies being devoured soon after.
"Babe? I love you. To the next galaxy and back."
"I love you too, Eddie. To the next life and back."
