Walking through the mall, my hand holding my boyfriend's, our eyes searched for stores that would hold good gifts for family and friends. Christmas was this month and we were a little behind on some of our shopping.
The pretty lights and decorations in the mall distracted me from my job at looking for stores. If Smarty hadn't pulled me in to GameStop, I probably would have ran right into a kiosk.
"What are we getting and for who?" I asked. My eyes scanned the racks of games.
"I was going to get the new Zelda game and send it to Ze. I planned on getting the new Pokemon game for Tom. I'm done with GaLm and Chilled." John explained. I watched as his brown eyes stared at the Zelda: Tri-Force Heroes game. I knew how bad he wanted it.
While John paid for the gifts for his friends, I pretended to look around. When really, I told him to meet me at the food court. While he was gone, I bought the new Zelda game for him and hid it in my purse so he couldn't see it.
John and I had a quick meal at the food court then headed home. John wrapped his gifts for his friends and for me while I recorded for my channel. When it was my turn to wrap his gifts, as well as the gifts for my friends or family, he recorded for his channel.
I placed all of the gifts that weren't being sent out under the tree. The gifts being sent out were places by the door so we could take them to the post office tomorrow.
"Babe! Are you done recording?" I called to him.
"Just a second!" He called back.
I sat on the couch and waited for him, playing Christmas movies. After a few more minutes of waiting, and him still recording, I decided I'd pass some more time by making hot chocolate.
"Hey babe." I felt arms wrap around my waist. A kiss was placed to my cheek.
"Hey." I smiled. I handed him a cup of hot chocolate. "Want some?"
"Thanks." He blew softly on the stream and sipped it. "Can we each open just one gift to each other early? Pleassseeee?"
I laughed at the pout on his lips. I pecked his lips and nodded my head. "Okay."
I handed Smarty the game I had gotten him and he handed me a gift of my own. I opened mine first, revealing a steam card for games.
"Thanks babe." I smiled. "Open yours."
Smarty opened his gift, eyes widening. He grinned from ear to ear and threw his arms around me. "Thank you, thank you! I love you!"
I laughed, receiving the kiss he placed to my lips. "I love you, too, babe. Merry early Christmas."
"Merry early Christmas!" He chuckled, pulling me close.
