Dan sat down by the beautifully decorated Christmas tree. I sat across from him, the cats scattered around us. I reached under the tree and pulled out a box wrapped in Batman wrapping paper.
Dan smiled and reached under the tree. He withdrew a box with Harley Quinn wrapping paper on it.
We switched the boxes, handing them to each other. I went first, opening up my box and tearing the paper to reveal my gift. Inside the box was a rather large statue of Harley Quinn.
Dan opened his present next. Inside of it was a hand made blanket with Batman, Joker, Harley, and CatWoman on it, as well as the Batman logo.
"Thanks so much. It's so soft." Dan said cheerfully, wrapping the warm blanket around his body.
"No problem." I kissed his cheek, smiling. "Thanks for my gift."
Dan and I had gotten each other a few more gifts, so we opened those. All of Dan's were Barman themed, besides some Binding of Issac and Just Cause 3 posters. All of my gifts had to do with things I liked, too.
"Merry Christmas." Dan said, standing up. I stood up, too, and let him envelope me in his arms. We stayed like that for a moment before we let go.
"Merry Christmas, BatDanz." I giggled. I pecked his lips, smiling warmly. "Should we make some cookies?"
Dan nodded and we went into the kitchen. There, we made cookies while the cats tried to bother us. We occasionally kissed or hugged while we waited for the cookies to be done.
When the cookies were finally done and frosted, we ate them. Whatever was left over we would take to the guys who didn't go home for the holidays.
"I love you." Dan said, hugging me again.
"I love you, too." I smiled, kissing his cheek. Holidays with Dan were always special, and today was no exception.
