"This is your first Christmas in America, isn't it?" I asked Dex. We were walking inside the office complex, scarves wrapped around our necks. It was chilly outside.
"Indeed." Dex replied, opening up the door for me. I was instantly greeted by the warmth of the inside of the building.
"That's exciting, huh?" I asked. Dex and I took the elevator, too lazy to take the stairs.
Dex shrugged. "Nothing really different about it. It's the same shit, just a different country."
"Well, I hope you enjoy it." I told him truthfully. We entered the office, noticing the four men sitting on the couch and snickering.
"What's going on here?" Dex asked, looking curiously at the mischievous foursome.
"Look above you." Spencer giggled.
I looked up above me, seeing the green and white plant hung neatly from the doorframe. Dex's grey eyes followed mine, going wide.
"What the bloody hell is that?" He asked, even though I was almost positive he knew.
"It's a mistletoe, Dexter. Don't you have those in England?" Dan joked.
I looked back at Dex, seeing the angry look on his face. He flipped the boys off with both hands, then turned to me.
In a swift movement, Dex had his hands on my waist and his lips against mine. Once I realized what was happening, I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him back.
The hollers and cheers of the four dumb asses made us pull apart. With a glare on his face, Dex stuck out his tongue and began to leave to his office.
I shook my head at Dex and the other guys. "Idiots." I muttered. I followed Dex, going to my own office. As I sat down in my chair, ready to work for the day, I couldn't take my mind off of that kiss. Call me cheesy, but Dex was an excellent kisser. I was going to make sure that wasn't the only kiss we shared tonight.
