Legacy's P.O.V.
I sat silently at the lounge watching news reports. There were riots in Praxus, where Prowl and Jazz are, Polyhex, and the first one broke out here in Iacon. They were Autobots from the fifth and sixth levels. I was worried about Dad and tried to call him, only to have no answer. I reached out through the bond, only to find nothing there.
We were let out of school early today because the riot was so close to the Learning Center. Enforcers ushered us to the elevator things and we all went home. I could have swore I saw Dad's color scheme among the sea of Bots.
After hours and hours of the same story and little random things here and there, I hear the door hiss open. I whip my head around and I see Dad walk in, locking the door behind him. He had tired optics and his door-wings hung low.
"Thank God! I was so worried. Are you okay?" I exclaim getting up. He glanced at me before he made his way to the galley, coming out with an energon cube.
"I'm fine." He states emotionlessly.
"What happened?" I ask curiously.
"We got the riot under control." He sighs. This is the longest conversation we've had since he arrived on Cybertron.
He slowly walked into the lounge and sat at he other end of the sofa. I felt my spark pang, but showed nothing on my face.
We spent the rest of he evening watching reports silently and I told him 'goodnight' when I went off to bed.
Sunstreaker's P.O.V.
I supported Kup on one side and Sideswipe on the other. He was part of the revolt and was injured badly among the blaster fire.
"It was stupid of you to go out there." Sideswipe finally says.
"And there it is.... The 'I told you so'. Y'know I was fighting long before your time. I know when-"
"You don't know anything. You're too old to fight and you would have gotten yourself killed if we hadn't pulled you out of there." I say bluntly, sitting him on the floor of the transport lift.
Kup had no response. He sat there quietly with his head down and a brooding look on his face.
::That's where you get it from.:: Sideswipe says in an attempt to lighten the mood. It didn't work.
::You don't think you were a little harsh on him?:: Sides asks solemnly.
::I was only saying what was true. He would have died out there. Boo hoo if his feelings are hurt! He'll get over it.:: I answer. After that it was silent.
We finally reach the sixth level and my brother and I pick up Kup, dragging him to our corner. We set him down on his makeshift berth and I go to our hiding spot and grab one of the two energon cubes we had left. I hand it to Kup and he tosses it back at me.
"No. We need to save it." He frowns.
"You need to heal up. Don't make me force it down your throat." I say lowly handing it back to him. He lets out a sigh and breaks the seal.
We were all being usher out of the Learning Center and to the transport lifts. We were coming out the back exit and we could see the riot happening in full force. The weren't after the students, they were after the Enforcers.
From where my brother and I were standing, we saw Kup in the crowd. He had a homemade blaster out and was shooting Enforcers. They fired back and we watch in horror as a blast made contact with him. He fell back and into the crowd.
My brother and I rush to him, only to be stopped by an Enforcer. I feel his servo on my upper arm, holding me back.
I reel back my fist and I punch him in the faceplate. He staggers back and my brother and I take our chance to run into the crowd.
Fighting was going all all around us and we search for where Kup fell.
::I found him!:: Sideswipe calls through the bond. I follow he tug on my spark and I watch as Bots are shot down, energon stained my plating as I made my way through the battlefield.
I meet my brother, who was holding Kup, and we both carry him out of there. He was slowly gaining back his consciousness, but not soon enough as the Enforcers rallied their small army.
::We have to get out of here. We'll be mowed down by those Enforcers if we don't.:: Sideswipe's side of the bond radiated his fear
My brother and I take Kup's arms and swing them around our necks and we carry him toward the nearest transport lifts.
"What were you thinking Kup?" Sides asks after a one moment of silence.
"I was thinking I'd make a difference!" Kup suddenly bellows, clenching his fist and breaking the empty energon cube in his fist.
"Nobody lived like this before the war. You younglings wouldn't know that. But do you think that those Enforcers are going hungry? It's time we made a stand. We've been starving because those officials made a class system that created wealth for those in the upper levels and poverty for those in the lower ones." Kup rants.
"You both are forced to fight for your rations. What do you think the Enforcer younglings do in their spare time? Sit on their afts, drinking their energon, watching news reports about starvation in the lower levels." Kup screamed angrily.
I took this information in and I felt my spark weigh down in it's casing. He was right.
A/N: I know this is kinda a sad chapter especially for Christmas, but there is good coming! I swear!
