Legacy's P.O.V.

I had searched high and low for Maverick. I checked every inch of this place and came up with nothing. He either had gotten out already or he's buried under rubble. I prayed it wasn't the latter.

I had agreed with the other's that we'd look for a way out. We were moving pieces of the building out of doorways to reveal new passages, we were looking for ways to break out using an outside wall, and we had a few give up and say that we were trapped in here and that this was Primus's way to save others of energon deprivation. That was bullshit.

"Hey! I think that we might be able to find a way out though here!" Someone called. The others and I all rush over to the voice of the tall red mech and we look at what he was talking about.

Above us there was a hole in the wall. It was wide enough for all of us to fit, but I couldn't see a way for us to get up that high.

"How are we going to reach that?" A femme spoke up.

"I think that if we moved some of the debris over here, then we could climb up and reach it." He explained. We nodded and I thought of another possibility.

"What if it's unsafe to drop down on the other side?" I question. This was something that we hadn't thought of.

"We'll check. I'll boost Neo up, and Neo will boost you up to look over the top." He pointed at me. This red mech seemed to be the leader type.

"I don't want to touch her." I hear Neo mumble.

"Too bad cause she's in this just like the rest of us." The red mech growled. Grudgingly, Neo made his way over to the red mech, climbing up to stand on his shoulders. Now, it was my turn and I made my way to to them, climbing up to stand on Neo's shoulders.I was just the right height to see out the hole and I placed my hooked my hands at the bottom of the opening pulling myself up to see how far the drop would be.

"I think we can make it. It's a big drop though." I explain.

"Good. Let's get to work." The red mech says, his voice straining under our weight. I jump down off of Neo's shoulders, landing hard on the ground and jarring my legs. We broke off and started to haul the debris to the opening.

Another femme and I were struggling to push a load of debris to the wall when the red mech came up on my side and helped us push.

"The name's Titan." He said proudly.

"Legacy." I introduce myself.

"I know. You're a hot topic." He shrugged. I blush slightly. Everyone had heard of me.

Titan was tall. Or a lot taller than me. I only came up to his abdomen. He was easily the biggest Bot here not just in height, but in width as well. He had big blue optics and his jaw jut out from the rest of his head. He sort of had an under-bite. His voice was gravely and he seemed quiet old. I couldn't tell if he was an advanced student who stayed here, like Sideswipe, or an instructor.

That concluded our conversation. We didn't really talk after that. Our priority was getting out of here. The younglings that were still here were too tired to help now and it took us hours to move all the debris into one big pile.

But, after a long time and it was dark, we finally finished. Neo and another femme were the first out. They were supposed to catch the younglings when they went out. Then, it was dwindling down to only a few of us. The anticipation was killing me. I wanted Dad.

Then, it was finally my turn. Titan had told me that he was gong last to make sure that I could reach. I did end up needing some help getting up to it, considering my height. I was about to drop down when I saw something.

"Sureflight?" I called. Now that I could see above everything, I could see bodies of flyers who tried to escape through the collapsing ceiling. Sureflight was crushed in between to slabs of metal that once made up the building. His visor was black, his armor dull, and energon leaked out of his mouth.

I felt tears well up in my eyes. How many people am I going to lose? Sureflight and I were still close, even after I became friends with Rack and Ruin. I'm losing everything. He was the one I could vent to about Dad and my sorrow. Rack and Ruin were my anchor; the ones who gave me a reason to get out of bed in the morning. Just like Orion. And Mom abandon us....

"Legacy?" I look down at Titan, wiping away my tears. He gave me a reassuring nod and a sympathetic smile, urging me forwards. I swing my legs over the wall and I drop down.

The feeling that you get when your on a roller coaster filled me. It was liberating. I was free of that place. I felt the wind rush through my hair, rush past my body, and whistle in my audios.

Then, I landed on the ground. Pain shot though my legs and I roll onto my side, denting my armor and cutting the skin beneath it.

Smokescreen's P.O.V.

I paced back and forth. Where was she? Why haven't we found a way in yet? I prayed that she was okay.

I perk up when I hear shouting. I look over, straining my optics in the dark. There was a large group of Bots coming our way. Among them I see Legacy. I rush to them, Bluestreak behind me.

She sees me and when I get to her I pick her up and hug her.

"I was so worried." I say, tears of joy welling up in my eyes. I set her back on the ground and kneel down to her level. She had thick blood that had dried on the side of her head, thick hair had been growing under her helmet, and I noticed her wet cheeks.

"I couldn't find Maverick." She said sadly. Bluestreak stiffened beside me.

"I'm sure he's alright. Don't feel guilty." I tell her. She looked sad and her chin warbled before she broke down in tears.

"They're dead. Rack, Ruin, Sureflight... I saw their bodies. I-I..." She stampered. I pulled her back in for a hug and she wrapped her arms around my neck. I lifted her up and carried her to the medics.

I can't believe my daughter had seen so much horror in her short life. She was only twelve! How is she supposed to cope with this kind of sorrow. What could I possibly do to ease her suffering?
