Legacy's P.O.V.
It seemed like forever before Dad fell asleep. I turned the reports off and I headed down the hall and into my room, finding both the twins there. Sunstreaker seemed to be waiting for me and I set the sketch book down on my nightstand.
"There's a cure." I say abruptly. Sunstreaker got wide eyed and Sides sat up off my berth.
"Seriously?" Sides asks in a raspy voice.
"Yes!" I cheer, but not to loud. "We have to purify your energon. It's in your blood, so when you're blood's clean, you'll get better. Sire told me that they have already done some trial tests and they all worked." I explain.
"What do we need to do to to purify his blood?" Sunstreaker asked.
"I think there's a tool you have to use. I think it's a pump of some sort. They have them on Earth." I say.
"We need to get one." The yellow twin says.
"How?" I ask.
"We'll have to steal it from the triage center." He hummed.
"Or we could just take Sides there and not get in any trouble. And I wouldn't even know how to work the machine" I say.
"I broke him out of that place. They won't want to heal him. And you said they had the pumps on Earth" He says.
"They can't deny him treatment. He's a citizen, a worker rebuilding the city. And just 'cause they existed there doesn't mean I know how to work them." I reason.
"I like her idea better. Let's avoid crime." Sides said. Sunstreaker huffed.
"Fine, but how are we supposed to get him there? He can hardly move." Sunstreaker questioned.
"We'll have to drag him there. We'll figure something out." I say.
"And your sire is a guard there. You don't think he'll be infuriated that you're with us?" Sunstreaker sighed.
"I'm not really concerned about that. We need to get Sides to the triage, then we'll worry about my sire." I say.
Sunstreaker's P.O.V.
It was early in the morning and Legacy and I were dragging Sideswipe to the triage. He was leaking energon this morning from his optics, audios, and mouth. The virus was reaching the final stages. Legacy kept Sideswipe balanced as I carried him, because she was too short and weak to carry him anyway. It was a great help though because he would always lean forward, nearly slipping out of my grasp every time.
His side of the bond was weak and I feared that we wouldn't make it there in time. Legacy showed me a shortcut to the triage and we soon arrived there, Bots were bustling back and forth and we got to the entrance and were stopped by a medic.
"You there! What are you doing?" He asked.
"My brother is sick and he needs to be treated.
"Set him down in a berth and I'll get to you." He said curtly before leaving. I moved him to an empty berth and we waited for the mech. Legacy sat at the foot of the berth, by Sideswipes feet.
::Hey, I'm touching her aft with my foot.:: He said stupidly.
::That's the most action you'll probably ever get.:: I teased. He pinched our bond and I winced.
"What's hurting?" Legacy asked worriedly.
"He's just being an aft." I respond, sitting next to her. We looked around at all the Bots were were dying. It was sad.
I look to my right, at Legacy, and see her optics tearing up.
"They're gonna get better." I say as confronting as I can. She looks at me with her big optics and nods, blinking her tears away.
Soon enough, the medic came over with a pump looking device and set it down on the berth, after we moved from it.
::I'm kinda nervous.:: Sides confessed.
::You'll be fine.:: I say, unable to hold back my joyous feelings that he was getting better.
"You're gonna have to hold him down while I insert this." The medic states, holding up a large, sharp needle. I block the image from Sides and I move to his legs and Legacy goes to his head, placing her hands on his shoulders. I grab his ankles and the medic goes to put the needle in.
::What's going o- AGGHH!:: He cries. I grit my denta through the pain flooding the bond, then Sides stopped struggling once the needle was in place.
We repeated this with the other arm and then we allowed ourselves to vent.
"Okay, that was he worst part." He said, switching on the machine. I watched as discolor energon flowed into the machine and came out the normal vibrant blue and hen back into his body on his other side.
The medic left and it took a long while for it to finish, but by the end of it all, Sides could see a little. Just blurry figures, but that was something. And his hearing was returning.
I looked up and froze when I saw Legacy's sire walking over here, talking to a yellow armored Bot that had door wings like his.
"Legacy! Go hide. Your sire's coming." I hiss. She looked at me, then her sire and took off to go hide. Her sire walked on by, without paying any mind to us, continuing to talk to his friend. I let out a sigh of relief and I see Legacy poke her head out from around a corner. I wave her over and she tip toed to us.
"That was close." She sighed. I nod in agreement. There was an awkward moment of silence between the three of us, then I spoke up.
"So, I'm assuming that you want us out of your home, now that Sides is better." I say. She shrugs.
"You guys are welcome anytime. You can come back until things get settled with the housing and decontamination of the barracks and all that." She said with a small smile.
"Thank you." Sides and I say at the same time.
