Legacy's P.O.V.

I was one of the few people still continuing school. Even some of the instructors were gone. All because of this scare over the disease that was spreading through Kaon and over the borders into neighboring city-states. I expect that they were going to be shutting down the school pretty soon.

I was just getting off the shuttle and I started my walk home. Dad hasn't been able to walk with me because of the long hours he had been working at the triage center. Last night, he came home late with a huge cut on his cheek. It was deep and probably would look like that for the rest of his life. He said it was because Sunstreaker had punched him when they had to take him outside. He didn't want to leave because Sideswipe was sick. I prayed that Sideswipe would get better. He was a nice mech, even though I didn't think so at first.

When I finally got home, I took off my helmet, running a servo through my hair. I went to the galley and grabbed a energon cube, pouring half the substance into a cup, almost like a thermos, then I added my supplements to it. I took my energon and my datapad into the lounge and sat on the couch, turning on the reports to see what was happening around the world and in Kaon with the sickness. I was also looking at some other paintings I'd like to hang up in my room. I was running out of wall space and I had to use it wisely.

I was looking at some pop art when I heard a knock on the door. I lift my head and I get up to get the door, grabbing my helmet on the way.

Sunstreaker's P.O.V.

I watched as the femme got off the shuttle and started to make her way to the Enforcer housing. I was hiding behind a old broken down building that hadn't yet been renovated. Sideswipe was on the ground, propped up against the wall, his optics shut and breathing heavily.

::Sunny we shouldn't be doing this. I could get you and her sick.:: Sides said.

::We have the solvent and the protective gear. I'l spray her before we go in.:: I respond, brushing him off.

I had gotten Sideswipe out of that wretched place. I disguised myself as an Enforcer and I somehow managed to rescue him. I found my twin on the floor surrounded by death. Many around him were bleeding out and he was sitting in a pool of their blood. It was sickening.

I pulled my brother to his feet and I swung his arm around my shoulders, dragging him. We followed the femme and I waited to see which door belonged to her before I left my brother by the door as I knocked.

I had the protective solvent in one servo and the googles and mask in the other. I was sporting both at the moment. I was irritated that the solvent made my armor dull and the mask covered my face, but this was to protect myself.

The door swung open and I was greeted by a surprised Legacy. I sprayed her down and thrust the gear in her hands. Her mouth hung open in shock, but she put the gear on nontheless.

"What are you doing here?" She asks sourly.

"My brother needs your help. We need somewhere to stay because he's not being cared for at the triage." I say.

"Do I look like a medic to you?!" She said angrily. "He's not coming in here. If he's sick, you're bringing this disease into my home and threatening me and my sire." She ranted.

"You've already got the protection. You and your sire will live!" I say, my voice rising. I was glad Sideswipe couldn't here the desperateness in my voice.

"No. You need to take him back to the medics at the triage. I can't take care of him." She says firmly. I huff and block Sides.

"Listen, I don't believe that my brother will live through this," I say looking down at him. He was looking around from me, feeling cut off. "But, I just want him to be comfortable. I found him, lying in a pool of others' blood, on the ground. He's in pain and there's nothing I can do. Please.... I know that you hate me and I regret everything I said to you. But, I know that you and Sideswipe were friends. So please, just let us in. You're the only one I could come to." I say, tears in my optics.

She looks at me sympathetically, then she peaks her head out the doorway to look at Sideswipe. He was blindly looking for me and I let the bond open again so he wasn't panicking. Old energon was caked onto his back and he holding onto my pede pathetically.

"Okay. But, let me move some stuff so we don't get any blood on it." She said, retreating into her home.

"Thank you." I breathed. I reached down and pulled Sideswipe to his feet and I dragged him through the door.

::She said yes?:: He asked incredelously.

::Yep.:: I nod.

::She shouldn't have.:: He said dismally. I didn't respond to that. The femme was clearing things out of the way and opened a door.

"Wash him off first and then you guys'll stay in my room. My sire doesn't go in there." She frowned. I nodded my thanks and I pulled Sides into the washroom, telling him what was going on so that he didn't freak out.

I used the hose to clean off all the blood and I was soon done. I heard Legacy out there spraying the solvent everywhere he'd been to clear it of the virus. I would need a new coat because some of it was probably washed off now.

Legacy's P.O.V.

The the hell am I doing?! I just let an infected into my home. I couldn't leave them out there though. I thought of Orion when I saw how Sunstreaker was with his brother. I couldn't let him die without trying to help.

Dad had a scanner that he had accidentally brought home from the triage and he left it here. I was using it to see if there was anything that I hadn't cleaned good enough, to prevent Dad from getting infected, or even me and Sunstreaker.

I hear the door open and I look to see Sunstreaker coming out.

"Can you put another coat on me?" He asked. I nod, grabbing the solvent and I sprayed him down. Then I use the scanner on him. Green.

"You can put him in here." I said, leading him through the hall to the last door on the left. I open the door and I here a hum out of him, his optics wandering over my walls.

"What?" I ask.

"Let's just get Sides in here." He sighed.
