I Got Caught In A Storm... And Now I'm Stuck In Naruto!?!?

The Mist Battle: Concluded

Recap:  Naruto and I were on the floor, but I couldn't see anything. The chakra was slowly leaving my eyes, and I felt them return to normal. But I did see Haku lunge for Naruto, so I threw myself in front of him. But the thing was... Someone else threw himself in front of me.

Sasuke.

Story Start::

"The two of you... You're both just natural screw-ups, aren't you? Always getting in my way..." Sasuke muttered.

Naruto had just woken up, and he obviously didn't fully understand what was happening because he said, "Sasuke! You really..." Realization washed over his face. He looked at me, and stared as I felt the tears fall down my face.

"Heh... What's with that look, huh? You're such a loser, Minxie... And Naruto... Don't even get me started..." The ravenette muttered. Tears started spilling over my cheeks even harder, and I was frozen on the wet and icy cold ground.

"I used to hate you, you know..." He muttered, talking to Naruto this time. I was on my knees now, my legs tucked under me as I stared at Naruto's confused expression, and at Sasuke's poor body, looking bloody and cut to ribbons.

"Why... Why did you... Why didn't you just mind your own business!?" Naruto barked.

"You... Freakin' Duck-butt! Why... Why would you... Sasuke..." I didn't even know what I was saying anymore.

"How should I know...? My body... It just... Moved on its own..." The ravenette muttered in return. He fell back, right into my arms. Naruto was by his side instantly, on my right as we stared at our teammate's pale body.

"You... You idiot... I... You weren't supposed to... You told me you wouldn't put your life in danger!" I said, crying even more.

"Who said... That I'd ever listen... To you..." He muttered. He looked up at me, lifting his cold hand to my cheek. "Don't cry... But you... You stay alive... You keep fighting..." He turned to Naruto, his deathly cold hand falling from my cheek. "Naruto... You... Protect her... No matter what... I swore I wouldn't die... Not until I killed my... My older brother... But... But you... You protect her and... Don't you dare die..." And with that, his eyes closed.

I felt the air leave my lungs as I stared down at him. He had sacrificed himself for us... For Naruto and I... No. "No... No! No... No, no, no, no! NO! Sasuke, don't do this! Wake up, come on! I got up when you told me to, you sure as hell better do the same for me!" And I just kept begging like that until Naruto's hand was on my shoulder.

"Minxie... He's gone, Minxie... He's gone..." I could tell that he was crying. But that didn't mean that he was right.

"No, Naruto! No! Sasuke can't just die! No, no, I won't let him- No!" I cried, leaning over his lifeless body. But Naruto didn't listen to me. It was like he was in his own world. And that was okay, because I was in my own world too.

Even when a red aura surrounded Naruto, healing him, making him look so fox-like... It didn't shake me. I heard loud noises, I heard the ice mirrors shatter, but none of it shook me. It didn't matter that there were still fights going on. It didn't matter that Haku's jutsu was broken. Nothing mattered besides Sasuke.
