Recap: He stared at me for a while longer before finally breathing out, "Emi...?"

I thought of hundreds of different replies, but I could only form one.

"R... Ryuu...?"

Story Start::

"Where have you been?" We both asked each other at the same time. The whole battle I was in the middle of was completely forgotten. I mean, hello!? My long lost twin is standing right in front of me!

His face fell, and he looked away from me. He stared at me with a troubled expression, and I could practically see the mini war going on in his head.

"Minxie? Who is he and WHY does he look so much like you?" Naruto interrupted, looking in between Ryuu and I.

I ignored the blonde, focusing back on Ryuu. "I've been in MANY places... But why the heck are you traveling with Sharingan Madman and Fish Stick over there?" I asked bluntly, tilting my head.

Ryuu's face returned back to its original stoic form, his eyes falling into a harsh glare. "You're not Emi," He stated.

I almost fell over. "What... What!? Of course I am! Look at me!" I said, gesturing to myself. This was turning into a nightmare. It was just like Orochimaru said. Ryuu doesn't believe me. He doesn't think I'm his sister, and it's killing me.

"He called you Minxie. And my sister's dead. She has been for years. I gave up the whole "she'll return' thing years ago," He said coldly, pushing past me.

I stared at him, dumbfounded. "Wha... HUH!? I'm alive! I can prove it!" I shouted.

He turned to me, giving me a challenging look. "I'm waiting," He said boredly.

Without thinking, I grabbed my amulet and showed it to him. The minute I held it, it started glowing, along with the amulet around his neck.

His eyes widened, and he stared at me for what seemed like forever. Everything in the room was silent, all eyes on Ryuu and I.

What happened next seemed to occur in slow motion. One second, I was staring into emerald eyes that mirrored mine. The next, there was an arm around my neck, and my back was against someone's chest.

Before I realized what was happening, I was already halfway out the door of the inn. I saw walls, but then I saw people. Buildings. Then came the trees.

And then I was running.

I wasn't making any effort to move my body, however. The person who had grabbed me was holding me securely, making sure I didn't slip. If it had been anyone else, I would've smacked them upside the head and started yelling like crazy. But this wasn't anyone.

This was Ryuu. My brother. The person I've been waiting to see for what seems like forever now.

When the world stopped moving around me, I saw that I had been taken to a clearing at the forest's edge. I was on a cliff, trees surrounding me and the huge gap that seemed endless below me. But on first sight, I saw none of this. All I saw was Ryuu, standing on the cliff's edge, staring blankly up at the sky as if he was trying to piece things together in his mind.

There was a part of me that said that this was wrong. Ryuu was a criminal now. I mean, he traveled with those two Akatsuki guys. His teachers hurt my boyfriend and were after my best friend and myself. I shouldn't have just let myself be taken away. Yet here I was, with Ryuu standing plain as day near me.

Maybe that was because I didn't see him as a criminal. Maybe it was because, without even knowing anything about him, I loved him just because he's my brother. Because we're so alike and so different at the same time.
