Third Person's POV

"You're home! I thought you'd- What happened?" Kylie asked, staring at the brunette who had just entered their home. She knew whenever something was wrong with Minxie, just as Minxie knew when something was wrong with her. And it was a good thing. Most of the time, anyway. But not now. Not when all Minxie wanted to do was go upstairs and sleep for the rest of her life.

"... Naruto and Sasuke fought," Minxie said quietly, knowing that she should just be honest.

"What... Huh? But they're friends!" Kylie exclaimed, disbelief spreading across her face.

"I told them that. Three times. They didn't listen," Minx replied, sounding dead.

"But that's not just it, is it?" Kylie said, a sad and small smile on her face that was meant to encourage her friend to talk to her.

"No... No, it isn't. Kylie... I think... Sasuke hates me now. He hasn't looked at me once. He won't talk to me. He's forgetting me... And it's killing me. I want to be there for him so he knows he's not alone... But I can't press too much. It's just... The way he looked at me in the hospital... I wanted to run away screaming. I wanted the earth to swallow me up and bury me in its core. I never want him to look at me that way again," Minxie said, sinking onto the couch.

"But... Why would he do that? What's up his butt lately? It's not like you did anything," Kylie said, sitting next to her friend on the couch.

Minxie sighed, shrugging. "I didn't. At least... Not that I know of. I mean... I did tell him to grow up because he was acting like a baby, and I sure as hell wasn't going to cater to his every need and whim like he's some king. I'm his girlfriend, for crying out loud! I thought he'd at least tell me to shut up or something."

Kylie thought about it for a few moments before replying, "Maybe... Maybe he's not doing it on purpose. I think you're not looking far enough into it, Minx. I see the way he looks at you. I know that he really, really likes you. He wouldn't just do this for no good reason. I mean... Didn't he reunite with Itachi or something? Maybe it's that."

Minxie rolled her eyes. "It doesn't change anything. I reunited with my brother. Now, I'm happier than ever."

"Your brother didn't kill his entire clan," Kylie pointed out.

"Right... He's done even worse..." Minx muttered under her breath.

"What was that?" Kylie inquired, raising an eyebrow.

"Nothing, Kylie," Minxie replied quickly, "Look... I'm really tired. More than anything, I just want to go to bed. I'll see you in the morning, okay?"

"Okay, Minx... And know that I'm here for everything, okay?" Kylie said, blinking her big blue eyes in sincerity.

"Yeah, I know... Thanks, Ky. Night," Minx said, nodding and standing up from the couch.

"Night!" Kylie called, watching the brunette jog up the stairs.

Minxie's room was dark as she entered it, and sighing, she flicked on the lights and closed the door behind her. Kicking off her shoes and pulling off her Leaf headband, she grabbed her pajamas and entered the bathroom.

Thinking about it for a while, she decided that showering would help her. She could always think better when she was alone, music ringing in her ears, and hot water beating down on her ivory-skinned back.

And with that, she went back out and grabbed her iPod and all of her other materials. She scrolled down until she found the song 'Losing Your Memory' by Ryan Star. Turning it up so loud that she could almost feel the floor beneath her vibrate, she placed it on the side of the tub.
