Louis
I sighed and rolled the dice. We were doing some family bonding time by playing a board game. But I really wasn't in the mood. I still didn't feel like I belonged since Lottie said I didn't have the big brother right anymore two days ago. I didn't understand what was wrong with me anymore and why I was so emotional over the little things.
I moved my token around the board and stopped on a square allowing the next person to take their shot. Lottie had miraculously stopped playing with her phone to join in on the board game. I was trying really hard but the continuous buzzing in my jeans pocket was getting harder and harder to ignore especially if it was Niall calling me.
"Lou, sweetie, are you okay? You've been very quiet over the past few days. It's not like you" mum had that worried look on her face and she would be getting out of me, or trying extremely hard to.
"Yeah everything is cool. Fine" I placed a fake smile on my face. "Sorry I'll be back" I grabbed my phone out of my front pocket as I stood up and walked out the room. Messages from Niall flooded my screen asking if I was okay. It felt nice to know I was someone worth worrying about.
I stepped into the eldest twins bedroom and called Niall I needed a break from my break.
"Louis are you okay? You haven't been answering me" I could feel his frown through the phone.
"I'm fine. I was playing a board game with my family. Tryna do some bonding shit" Niall laughed. "Aren't you supposed to be home now anyway?"
"Yeah got in last night. I wanted to talk to you though. See how you were after the other day with your sister" I sighed. "She's just a hormonal girl Lou, she'll get over it and wants her privacy" I hummed I knew that and part of me was joking. What was I going to do to stop the two seeing each other. I just wanted to have that authority.
"I miss you" I changed topic.
"Same baby. Hey I was thinking, do you want to come here New Years go to the park and see some fireworks then go back to this motel? Its really cute and on the out skirts of town so it's scheduled" I smiled to myself.
"It sounds wonderful Niall. But how are we supposed to cover up the fact I'm going to wear you currently are? People will get sus"
"I'm not sure. Just come over please? I wanna be with you and hold you"
"I will don't worry. I should get back. I'll talk later okay?"
"Okay bye, baby" we hung up and I left the room and walked back to my family who were sitting waiting for me.
"Sorry I took so long" I sat down and grabbed the dice.
I shook them in my hand, feeling everyone watching me. I looked up and caught their eyes.
"What's really wrong Louis?" Mum asked honestly. "You can tell us. Its okay to tell us anything"
I didn't know if she was hinting at me being gay or if she could sense something else, but I didn't want to put up with it.
"Why can't you believe me when I say nothing is wrong. If that is what this game was about I'm not playing anymore" I threw the dice on the board and got up. "I'm going for a drive" I got up and walked towards the door, I slipped on my coat and grabbed my keys before going to my car.
I pulled the hood of my coat over my head, shielding myself from the light snow that was falling down. I unlocked my car and climbed in, turning the heater on to warm the car up.
Once I was satisfied I drove out from the driveway and down the street onto the main road of Doncaster. I was getting annoyed and doing something I hadn't done in a few months. I was going to smoke. I needed the stress relief.
