Confused (A Chris Pine fanfic)

Chapter Sixteen

I am now sitting on my couch wondering what I am gonna become. There are three choices. First: command (red shirt) second: engineering/repair (yellow shirt) and third: science (blue shirt).

"Hey love." Jim said coming in and sitting beside me. "Whatcha doing?" He asked.

"Trying to figure out what path to take." I said throwing my arms up in a rage quite.

"Well for the first year or two you can take all three to figure out what path you want." He said "I think I may have to do that too." He said.

"I guess that might just be the best way" I said. Lets watch The next generation on Netflix." Jim said grabbing the remote and turning on my TV.

"Now this. Is why I love you." I said leaning against him. The the door opened and in came Sam, Mia and Cassidy. Mia spoke first.

"You guys. I am so sorry. I didn't mean to be a bitch! I just am scared of losing two of my new friends." She said giving us each a hug.

"Don't worry Mia! We will always come back and see you." I said.

"Thank you Cadet Gilbo." She said winking. Jim looked at the time.

"Crap. I have to go get ready. I will be here to pick you all up in two hours. Oh and Debby. I invited your parents." He said racing out the door.

"He did what?" I yelled. My parents and I have never really gotten along.

"Let's go get ready!" Sam yelled trying to break the awkward silence. I nodded in agreement. Cassidy drug me up the stairs.

"Hey slow down. Remember. Not much walking for me!" I said.

"Oh ya." She said. When we got to my room she pulled out a dress it was black tight and stopped a few inches above the knee. It had a sweet heart neckline and a two inch thick read band around the middle.

"Wow that's beautiful!" I said. Opening my closet.

"It's for you. A going away present." She said.

"Oh my god Cassidy. You spoil me!" I yell. She pulled out of another bag a purple dress the went to the knee. It was also skin tight.

"Help me zip this up!" I said.

"Okay okay. Hold your horses." She said laughing. She zipped up the back of my dress and I sat down at my mirror. I put on a little smokey eye shadow and some lip gloss. It took about an hour to get all of my hair curled. Cassidy put hers up in a messy bun. It was just about time for Jim to pick us up.

I heard a honk outside any it was Jim. I putt on my black flats and gathered everyone. We all piled into the car. Jim was wearing a black suit with a red shirt and a black tie. I have a feeling that Cassidy organized this. I though to my self and chuckled in my head.

We pulled up in front of the restaurant and we were immediately seated and my parents came in a few minutes after us.

"Hello Deborah, and you must be Christopher." My mother said.

"Well. Actually we have an important announcement to make." I said.

"Oh god. Your not pregnant are you?" My father asked.

"No. What I was going to say is that we have been accepted into Starfleet academy. And also you have to call us Cadet Kirk and Cadet Gilbo." I said.

"What a stupid little fantasy you have there. And now listen. We will call you whatever we want to call you little girl." My mother snapped.

"No you can't. It it against the regulations. Now if you don't mind I am going to leave before I start screaming at you." I snapped at my mother and walked out the door. Jim followed.

"We are gonna make it through this. I didn't know your parents were such assholes." He said giving me a hug.

"Well I think I might just have to go in and face them." I said. "But I will not be staying long." I stood up and Chris and I walked back in hand in hand.

"Mother. father. You don't have to believe me but it is not going to change that fact that it is happening. You can't control my life. I am not your little girl anymore. Tomorrow is the last day you will ever see me. If you care to say good bye be at my house at seven in the morning. I am going to leave. Just remember. If you don't show tomorrow I won't care. It will just be like all the other times you have disappointed me. Telling me I will never make it in life. So please your choice. To be part of my life or to not." I said and walked off.
