1) Just so that readers know, introductions! And this isn't really a question cz Im a genius :)
Well I'm Kevin Fechtel. I am the drummer of Shout London. Harcel Marcel and Chris Metz are our lead and rhythm guitarists. And Tyler Whiting is our lead vocalist, with Chris singing backup vocals
2) What inspired you to start a band?
Tyler has played with a lot of bands, but could never relate stylistically as much as his other bandmates had, so he decided to go solo. After some time of playing acoustic gigs, he had a friend come up and accompany him with the tambourine. He then realized that his own style could be so much more lively with more musicians, even though from the past he knew that dealing with other members can be a hassle sometimes. Nevertheless though, he a gave it a chance. Me, Harley, and Chris were all also like minded like TJ and when we started practicing and jamming more often, we saw our amazing potential as a four-piece. Our amazing talent combined was our inspiration
Thats cool. Tyler has to be the akward one... :)
3) Biggest accomplishment to date?
Being on the front page of the The Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands! In BotB, bands have a chance to compete for a spot on this years Vans Warped Tour, and currently for the Orlando venue we are 2nd place right now! Go Vote: www.battleofthebands.com/u/shoutlondon
Awesome! Thats so cool! I hope you make it.
4) What are you currently working on? Lyrics, chords, or just a whole song?
At the moment we are working on another EP. The lyrics are for the most part completed, as well as the fundamental song structure and the chord progressions. All that’s left are the nitty-gritty parts.
can't wait to hear itC
5) What inspires your songs? Is there something major that went on? Or was it just a thought that went through your head?
Mostly....relationships. Out of all the thoughts and feelings that give emotions, the strongest definitely come from relationships. We like to sing about things familiar to everyone so everyone can relate to our lyrics.
Thats awesome. I'm glad you do so. I think thats what I like most about your songs.
6) Favorite bands? And why?
Mayday Parade and Forever the Sickest Kids absolutely! Because their sound can lift you up at any time of the day. Actually any lively and upbeat band will do that haha.
MAYDAY PARADE!!! More reasons to love you guys!
7) Favorite song that you have written to date (published)?
Thats a tough one, but I would have to say The Fight. The sole strings at the beginning give it a different tone than the other songs off of our EP and switches between soft and loud parts are what gives it constant interest to me personally. Its simply an amazing song!
I like that song, but I kinda like Don't You Dare more, but then again, I didn't write the songs.
8) Favorite song you have heard?
