Lucy's Pov

Mr. And Mrs. Sulkin haven't stopped looking at me and to be honest it is beginning to make me feel uncomfortable. "Lucille." Mr. Sulkin repeats, "I noticed something is bothering you just by the way you answered us."

Mrs. Sulkin nods in agreement to her husbands statement. Well, I guess I have been caught. I'll just have to lie my way out of this.

"My family is very important to me," I begin. "I don't like to say anything about them to prevent any rumors being spread about them. If I came off a bit unease it is simply because of that fact, I apologize."

Mr. And Mrs. Sulkin smile at me. "You don't have to apologize for anything, Lucille." Mrs. Sulkin smiles, "The way I see it, you're respecting your family and watching out for them. That says a lot about you." I take it as a good thing because they believed it.

♡♡♡♡

"I'll return momentarily, love" Gregg informs me, "I'm going to run and grab my keys to take you home." I nod and smile at him, he had picked me up from my house tonight.

Mr. Sulkin stands up to make his way to me, "It was nice meeting you, lucille. Come visit soon." He shakes my hand as I do the same. Mrs. Sulkin keeps an eye on me since the moment her husband had gone to their bedroom. I smile causally at her and look away hoping she would stop looking at me.

Why is she looking at me anyways? Is it something on my face? Maybe she's just zoning out and her eyes landed on me without noticing it. Or she could be thinking of ways to get rid of me so I won't be near her son. Nah. She doesn't seem so vicious; in fact she looks kind.

"Lucille, hun." Mrs. Sulkin speaks. "I cannot help but notice your arms. What are those marks?"

I look down at my arms; the marks are still there. Fuck! How could I forget to wear a jacket or long sleeved shirt? She must have some pretty good eye sight if she saw it from her seat. Then again, she's only a few feet away.

"These marks are -" I chuckle nervously but Gregg suddenly interrupts me. "Love, let's get going. We wouldn't want your father to hate me now would we?"

I nod in agreement and stand up to shake Mrs. Sulkin's hand. "Thank you for having me, Mrs. Sulkin."

She doesn't seem pleased with the way her son butt into the conversation unknowingly but she still shakes my hand. "I hope to see you soon, Lucille. Maybe then we could continue our small talk."

"Of course, Mrs. Sulkin." I smile as warmly as possible so the awkwardness would hopefully evaporate from the air.

"I think they adored you, my dear," Gregg says as he focuses on the road back to my house. I sheepishly nod.

Gregg stops the car on the side of the road and stares at me intensively, "Love, you are the first girl I have ever presented to my parents. When I told them I was bringing you to the house they were glad. The way they spoke to you showed me they adored you."

I smile as Gregg continues to look at me intensely and I try my best to not panic. I'm not sure why he's looking at me like that. Not that i mind but it's odd. No one has looked at me like that before.

The next three words that come out of his mouth are breathtaking.

"I love you"
