Alive Agian

Before I Fell

Frisk awoke one morning to find Chara wasn't in their bed. They were very alarmed. Frisk didn't want to take Chara's body away but they weren't going to let Chara hurt someone.

Frisk got out of bed and called out for Chara, "Chara where did you go?" Frisk got no answer. They went out of their room into the living room. Chara wasn't there either. Frisk peeked out the window to see Chara laying in the grass.

Frisk took a blanket and brought it outside. They walked up to Chara and smiled. "Mind if I join you?" Frisk asked.

"No, but I'm not really in a good mood." Chara answered.

Frisk layed down next to Chara and threw the blanket over them. Frisk was quite for a moment, looking at the stars with Chara. Chara didn't seem angry, but they weren't happy either.

Finally after a while Frisk broke the silence. "Do you wanna talk about it?"

Chara sigh. "I'm just thinking about life before I fell." They looked really sad.

"What was it like?" Frisk asked. "I mean if you don't wanna tell me thats fine. I'm not gonna force you to."

Chara gave a half smile. "No, its fine, I trust you. Before I fell down the family I- I ..." Chara begain to choke on their sobs. Frisk softly put their hand on Chara's stomach to calm them down. Chara took a shakey breath. "The family I lived with they were, they were very mean. Abuse to be honest. I believed the things they told me. That I was horrible and stupid that-that." Chara begain to cry.

Frisk whipped their tears away. "Chara you are none of those things. I think you were put in a bad situation and started to believe everyone was like that. But they're not all like that."

Chara nodded holding back tears. "Frisk, I-I went to the mountain to commit siluicide. However I survived. I was found by Asriel and became adopted by them. I was shown how nice things could be... so I wanted revenge. I wanted to hurt those that hurt me. I tried to get Asriel to go there so I could take over his body and kill those who hurt me. In the end I just turned out like those people who abused me in the first place." After saying all this Chara had rolled over and begain to sob into Frisk's shoulder.

Frisk didn't know what to say. They're shocked. Of course Frisk always knew Chara was just a very hurt child but they didn't think too much about it.

Frisk rubbed Chara's back. Chara looked up at Frisk. Frisk never realized how helpless they could be till now. Frisk pecked Chara's head.

"I will never let another person hurt you like that again, I promise." Frisk whispered whipping Chara's tears away.
