Empty Drunken Words

'Some people are just a big disappointment you can do nothing about'

People often say things they do not mean,

So why say them on an unclear mind?,

Intoxicated on pure white liquid,

Burning through your veins like smoke from a cigarette,

Drank to have fun especially

Before dancing under the golden shine of the sun,

They say things and forget,

The events of what they have done,

While still not drunk enough,

And later letting you down,

After the night that drove their minds mad,

Chemicals swimming in their blood.

Creating confusion and disbelief,

The disappointment doesn't feel real,

So I have to face reality to see the truth,

To see that things said and done,

Only make a dear person's heart too rough.

To see they're never like they used to be in their youth.

Adults say they'll see you soon,

To visit you and put on a light on a sad face,

Raise a smile to cover up the miserable frown.

Like the one on a night's sky,

The nail shaped, bright moon.

Coming every evening,

To darken the heavens above,

Making sweet music having a melancholic tune.

So don't believe in words old untold,

Block your ears to stop the lies,

You'll grow more and more eager to believe,

The darkness will come and make you feel like a fool,

Because somebody felt that they're just too cool for school.
