This is a new poem I wrote a few days ago after listening to Prince's music all day....now listening to his music day after day. Thank you for your glorious PURPLE REIGN!!

My tears in a purple river,
Flow freely as my heart gets heavy,
These days I can only paint one colour,
It is the neon shade of purple,
No-one can own a colour,
Yet one did, he wore it well,
He sung "Purple rain" like an angel,
Left us astounded and amazed,
Jaws dropping from the pure talent,
Of the Beautiful One,
May we remember his long, Purple Reign,
Let's get crazy, dancing and feeling the funk,
Listen to the sound given by God,
Let the heavy weight surpass,
Leave you to feel like a feather,
Weightless, like the wind,
Let not your heart dwell.
