Cannot Be Heard

A/N: Hey Guys.

This is a new poem I co-wrote with FeroniaEirlys who is my very good friend. We've known each other for a long time because we went to the same school. We talk about many things and we listen to one another. Sometimes opening up to each other about struggles with family is therapy, because it makes the weight on your shoulders become lightweight.

The walls are breaking,

House falling into dust,

The ground beneath me crumbles,

I'm left alone, shaking.

Voices in my head hit like thunder bolts,

Loud and mean, waking me up,

In the middle of the night,

I hear my own screams, am I becoming mad?,

When did the demons come?,

Getting inside out, please can they go away,

Walk out the door, quickly scram.

Leave me alone, stop turning me glum.

Nobody will listen or give me my voice

To use and explain myself,

Feeling like a criminal, caged and kept away,

From everything and everyone,

What have I done?

I deserve the truth,

Radio silence is killing,

When did I become a stranger to my own kin?,

No-one will tell me what's going on,

Shutting me out and putting me on a shelf,

The way you do with an old toy,

Standing in front of an audience, like an object,

It's laughable like the joke of a comedian,

The situation is not amiable,

There are no grins, this isn't a child-like reality,

I must know what lies beneath your skin.

There are no truths that can hold you close to me,

Only lies and silly games I'm ready to play,

Whatever you're hiding, you're hiding it well,

I don't appreciate being kept in the dark,

I'm walking the empty streets of false promises,

Nasty opportunities and advantages you place,

Knowing my weaknesses, you're twisting them against me,

Whoever you are, the person I've come to known is gone,

Ripping us apart, creating only your dangerous way.
