A/N: Hey Guys.
This is a new poem I wrote after finally watching "Allegiant" and taking a quiz also which resulted in "Genetically Damaged"---great result right?.....so much sarcasm here!! Well it's an interesting thing...being genetically pure/damaged. The way that people are and their humanity being edited...seems wrong...trying to make someone's genetics perfect...because no one is.
Our flaws build our strengths....or just make us more ourselves. My rant is over.........
I hope you guys like the poem, if you do then please don't forget to VOTE & COMMENT! :)

What's self preservation without
A little selfishness?,
How about taking away my fear?,
You would take my compassion away,
My aggression leads to motivation,
Or the ability to assert myself,
You can't get rid of the things
That makes us who we are,
Human nature is our friend,
Not our enemy, what lies beyond
Our land, is our foe,
Manipulating the way we've been born,
We can't be fixed if we are forever damaged,
Don't you gas us and paint our brains blank,
We're not your enemy, nor are we your friend,
You don't know us, even watching our every step,
It won't teach you everything about us,
Deep down we know and feel,
We choose or refuse to work the way we're told,
Society can't break us, but unite us,
You're perfect to me,
Genetically damaged or pure,
It doesn't change the way I see you,
It only blinds those who don't know you,
The way I do.
