The Scars Of Peace

A/N: Hey Guys.

This is a new poem I've written after hearing about the attack in Brussels. No life should ever be treated worthless, people shouldn't be stricken with fear everyday. Religion is not the problem here, it is the belief that taking life of an innocent would make God proud. It is our conscience that leads us down the path of success and glory or cruelty and the deepest and most dangerous darkness.

It is our own interpretation of words that blinds our eyes that see.

Anyway, I hope you guys like the poem. If you do then please don't forget to VOTE & COMMENT! :)

P.S: I would like to thank my good friend FetchingPenumbra for helping me come up with a title for the poem.

Stone cold hearts full of darkness and rage,

Puts an innocent life in an inescapable cage.

What did we do to deserve such a treatment?,

Have we upset God?, or your way of belief?,

Blood spilled and bodies still and soundless

Lay upon the violently marked ground,

Colored red and grey in death,

We shall wear White for Peace,

Black only in a cob web,

Hanging over our mournful heart,

We shall share tears and words of woe,

To be followed by weary smiles,

We'll stand proudly as One,

Protect the young ones and stop bad influence,

We'll feel hope and keep our faith,

Nothing shall stand in the way of our saith.
