A/N: Hey Guys.
So I wrote this poem a few days ago and umm it's about my friend who had her heart broken. She's doing alright, I made sure to ask her a few days ago when she called me. When someone is in pain (Emotionally or physically), be sure that you're by their side 'cuz that moment is when they need you the most.
I hope you guys like the poem, if you do then please don't forget to VOTE & COMMENT! :)

P.S: I would like to thank my dear friend I_Am_Stark for editing the poem. You did a great job and you followed my directions--I also added some bits just to go in the final direction I wanted to go in, to make my intentions clear.
I lied to her,
When I said that things will be fine;
I didn't know heartache was so bad,
It completely broke her apart.
But still she held on to me,
I was her wall of strength,
She needed to gain stability
Before every piece of her heart fell.
The pain knocks us back,
Like the wind in the winter time.
The cold freezing us in this moment
When we are most vulnerable to it.
Giving in because there is nothing else,
To keep us sheltered from the icy prick,
We feel in our heart when the fire's been blown out,
And everything warm and bright is gone.
What do I make of this?
What will she make of it?
If I told her I still love her as a friend,
Would she tell me to take a piss?
My head told my heart to let love grow,
But my heart told my head not this time.
Because the pain she feels cannot be taken away so easily,
Having a broken heart is not a feeling I've ever known.
My heart aches,
My brain tells me what a fool I have been.
I never should have listened to my heart,
My poor friend cannot take words of comfort,
Right this moment,
I lied to her,
When I said that she'll be alright,
It's too soon,
I didn't know heartache was so bad,
It completely broke me apart.
