There It Comes Again (Disappointment)

Hey Guys.

Here is a new poem I have written after a kind of disappointing day. I was celebrating my birthday (It was 5 days ago BTW). I invited 3 friends, but only one showed up. So my anger, sad, whatever you wanna call it......is here....

I thought I asked you nicely,

And still you decided not to show up,

Did I do something to offend you?,

I search for reasons and find none,

No message or call,

Reaches my line so I wait some more,

Because I can't give up,

I know you wouldn't let me down,

I check my phone and find silence,

Echoing around me are only my words,

The squeak of your voice never comes,

So my hope with you too goes,

I thought you were my best friend,

I could trust because I know you,

What you're like here or there,

But who knows?

Perhaps I was wrong about you,

Entirely, I have become the worst fool,

To believe you and trust you,

And hope you'll show up,

To celebrate with me,

A birthday that's a first,

With my College girls, I hoped would be so much fun,

An event that turned into a clock ticking,

The light of day disappearing,

For the dark to take control,

And say goodbye to the sun.

Until the next day,

To come again, to start anew,

And then I'll open my mouth,

I'll face you and tell you what I have to say.
