Paige:

Maz and I helped the waitress clean up spilled coffee and breakfast foods while, Lyndon, Jasen, and a stunned Andre helped put together the tables that could be salvaged from the wreckage of the fight that had occurred.

Most of the other customers had left in a rush, probably thinking that the two boys were maniacs.

Jasen was drilling a screw into the chair leg while Lyndon stood beside Andre as he handed supplies to Jasen.

Most of the stuff was cleaned up, even though we would still have to pay for some of the damages.

"What's on your mind, Pagy?"

I startled, having forgotten Maz's presence, and replied,"Nothing. It's just so much has happened in such a short amount of time and...I just don't know how to deal with all of this change."

Maz nodded sympathetically and said,"Hey, it'll all work itself out Pagy, don't worry about it. And besides," she motions towards the boys," if any of those barbarians try anything again, I'll put him six feet under." She makes a stabbing motion to emphasize her point as she grins like a maniac.

I put an arm around shoulders,"It's moments like these when you are making homicidal  threats that I realize the depth of our friendship."

She grins at me.

"I know you'd do the same for me Pagy."

*Lyndon's POV*

I sit in my room thinking about the day.

Jasen's back.

There had been a reason he had left all those years ago.

I'm surprised he came back, and he couldn't have picked a worse time.

I know he's going to hear about what has been going on with his sister.

Actually that could be why he's here in the first place.

No matter what I'm majorly screwed.

I open my laptop, still on a website about Alistair Blu.

That just made my frustration grow.

The man was completely clean.

I couldn't find any dirt, no scandal, no criminal offenses, nothing.

I count to ten, trying not to let my anger get to a dangerous rate and let out a deep sigh.

The thing is I could probably deal with this whole situation if it was anyone but Paige.

Anyone else, I would be able to think about how to fix the situation but it's Paige.

I care about her too much to thing of anything.

Too afraid of failure.

Too afraid of Pagy getting hurt,

Because of me.

Suddenly my phone buzzes, I look at the caller id.

It's Cameron.

I answer, "Yo man, what's up."

"Dude I found it!"

I jolt up, my chair falling over.

"What did you find?"

I can hear the smirk in his voice as he says,

"I found the impossible."

"Dirt on Alistair Blu."
