James's POV

I stared at my open math book, yeah math just not my subject.
I was sitting on the stool with my elbows resting on the kitchen counter.
My mum was cooking dinner.

I stopped and watched her cook.
"James, keep on studying, please", my mum said turning to me.
"Yes, I know, I just want to make a break"
"I got a job offered", she said looking at my math book.

"Really?, that's awesome", I said happy.
My mum has lost her job a half year ago and because of that I was going crazy, because she was always at home annoying me.
"Yeah, they gonna call me today, to talk about the job, but now continue studying", she said.
,,Okay, okay", I said focusing on my math book again.

Riley's POV

"Em, have you seen my phone?", I asked Emily going in her bedroom.
She was sitting on her bed with her laptop on her lap.

"No sorry, could you maybe help me"
"Yeah sure, what are you doing ?"
"I am trying to open this document"

"Let me see", I said going to the bed and sitting next to her.
"Here, it's quite easy actually"
"Thanks, how it's going with James and his band?", she asked me opening the document.
"We can't spend so many time together, but I know he is trying very hard, so it's okay"
"That's good, I think that he really likes you Riley, first I thought it would be just a game for him but now I think he is taking it seriously and you know that James never takes anything seriously", she said.

I started smiling "Yeah I know"

James's POV

Even after, a hour I wasn't finish with learning.
Maybe it was, because I was texting with Riley at the same time. My mum was at a job interview.

(James and Riley texting)

Riley :Shouldn't you be studying for math?
James:maybe, but I rather like texting you
Riley:James!
James:Okay, okay mum, I'm going back to my math book
Riley:I hope so

After some minutes I heard the door click.
I turned around and saw my mother come in. "And how did it went?", I asked my mother."Well, I got the job, but I want to talk to you", she said.

"Okay, what up?", I asked.
"Let's talk about it after dinner"
"okay"
