James's POV
I sat on the couch staring at my mother, mouth open, eyes wide with shock.
What she had told me ten minutes ago, was just terrible.
Terrible for me, for Riley, for my whole life, I just didn't know what to say.
"James, I know that this sound frightening, but it's not as bad as it's sounds", my mum said turning to me.
"Not as bad, it's horrible mum I am not moving to California, I can't and I won't, I am staying here", I said angrily.
"You can't stay here", she said.
"Yes I can, I can stay at Eldon's or West's I'm sure they don't mind".
"Maybe they don't mind, but I do, you my son and I'm not gonna let you stay in another town alone", she said sitting next to me.
"Mum I'm not alone", I said.
"You not staying", she said standing up and going away.
"You are ruining my life"
"JAMES", she said in a strict tone.
I stood up and got out of the house.
"Where are you going", my mum asked.
"To Eldon", I said angrily.
"Hey, what's up?", Eldon asked as I furiously stormed into his house.
"I'm moving", I said.
"Nice"
"No!"
"No?, why?", he said.
Sometimes he was just stupid.
"I'm moving to California"
"Isn't that far away?", he asked stupidly.
"Yeah", I said looking at him angrily.
"Why", he asked.
"My mum got a job offered there", I said and sat on the couch.
"Riley gonna be devastated", he said looking to me.
"I know", I said and rested my head on my hands.
"Ey bro you must not move to California , you can stay here at my place, my mum wouldn't mind, you're here all the time anyway, your part of my family", he said trying to cheer me up.
"Thanks I appreciate that you want to help, but my mum doesn't want me staying here, I hate doing this to Riley, she doesn't deserve that", I said.
"I wish I could help", he said sitting next to me.
"You've done everything you're able to", I said looking to the ceiling of the room.
"When are you going to tell her?", he asked me.
"I don't know", I said sighing.
