Chapter 8

James's POV

We were at my house, in the kitchen.
My mum was talking with Riley, for which I thanked her, because she was distracting her.Everytime I talked to her, she would get sad.

Tomorrow was the day I was moving to California.

My things were all packed up in boxes, but I had them hidden in the basement, because of Riley.

"And it was really difficult to get him out, everytime I tried to talk to him he would just scream", my mum was probably talking about some embarresing story about my childhood.

Riley started laughing.

It immediately made me smile.
"Do you want to see some baby photos from him.", my mum asked Riley.

"Yes", Riley answered.

"No, definitely not", I said.
"oh", she said pretending to be disappointed.

"James, I'm going to the grocery and than I'm gonna go to your aunt", my mum said.

"Okay, see you later", I said.
After some time, Riley and I went to my room.
"Do you remember our first date.", Riley asked me.

"Of course, I am never gonna forget that", I said smilling.
She smiled too.
"Riley I have something for you", I said taking a black box from my desk.

Riley's POV

He gave me a little black box.
"Oh thanks, but you didn't have to get me something", I said opening slowly the box.
The moment I saw what was in the box I immediately started crying.

It was a silver necklace with the words Jiley.
"Do you like it?", he asked me.
"I love it James", I said and hugged him.

"Should I put the necklace on?", he asked me.
"Yes", I said.
I turned to the other side and he laid the necklace around my neck.

I trail over the letters from my necklace.
"It's the best present I ever got, but it was probably expensive, you didn't have to buy me something so expensive"
"Don't even worry about", he said.
That made me laugh.
He laid his arms around my waist and kissed my cheek.

James's POV

I was watching Riley sleep, she was so calm and beautiful.
I trailed my finger over her arm.
It was now 9 p.m., I needed some rest, but I just couldn't fall asleep.

I was leaned against the bed frame and Riley was resting her head on my chest fast asleep.
Suddenly she started crying.
"Riley, babe wake up, it's just a nightmare", I tried calming her down.
But she just started sobbing.

"Shh, it's all okay, it's just a nightmare"
"James", she asked waking up.
"You had a nightmare", I said taking her in my arms.
She was shaking heavily.
After some time she calmed down and fall asleep in my arms again.
