Ballet, love it or hate it, it's been part of my life since I was five years old.
There have been many pleasant memories that I will never forget. Like being on stage dancing as Puck, that was truly magical. Then when the show that night would be over, and I bowed, the applause was something I just soaked up as I beamed. Then, dancing as the Lead Flower in the Nutcracker when I did my fouttes I felt weightless. I felt like I was flying and I could do anything.
Then there is the not so pleasant memories like the time when I did 37 fouttes right in front of my teacher. Yet, she noticed the girl next to me. I then went outside of the studio to get water and tried not to cry. I then had to remind myself that while my teacher may not have noticed my fouttes, God did. Over the years I have learned a lot through ballet and I would like to share with you about my journey over my almost twelve years of doing dance.
