I thought my core was strong

  So I had a stretch class a couple days ago.  It was taught by one of the company dancers who didn't introduce himself.  He was a good teacher though.  I thought before the class that my core may be a little stronger than some of the other girls. However, our teacher decided to do a half hour of core work.  Ugh, it took me three days before my core started feeling normal again and that's not an overreaction either.  I found out the hard way that I have an average core amongst ballerinas which I can live with.  It was really a kick in the stomach and I was reminded that pride goes before a fall, which I think I'm ok with.  Sometimes, we all need that check in reality and that reminder that sure, we might be good, but we still have room for improvement.  Anyways, have a great day guys and just keep dancing!! ~Mia
