Over the years I've had a ton of different costumes. When I was really little, I had this dark green felt dress with white lace and white pantaloons for my first role. The first time I ever did a Midsummer's night dream I had a orange and green leotard and orange and green tights and as if that wasn't enough I had little antennas and orange and green shoes it was hilarious and really cute. Other roles had some for costumes like a white leotard and pink or maroon skirt. The older you get typically the more intricate your costumes are and the more fun they are. I remember when the first times when I did La Fille Mal Garde. I love that costume it was a yellow leotard with puffy shoulders. The skirt, was extremely heavy and it was really hard to do turns in it. The first layer of the skirt was a little light green and the second was a darker green I love that costume. As I got older and the nutcracker, my costume slowly became nicer. As a Party boy I wore pants and vest a turtleneck and black ballet shoes. As a Rat I wore a long sleeve black leotard and black tights and of course black ballet shoes I actually got lead rat which means instead of having a green or red vest with bells I got a gold one to top it off we had a cute little cap with ears. My next role in the nutcracker was a soldier which the costume consisted of white turtleneck white pants blue uniform and a blue toy soldier hat along with a fake sword. My next and least favorite role was a flower. The costume is fine I was just so sick of that dance I dance to it like five times. It was a pink leotard with a pink skirt and green piece of what we called broccoli right in the center. After that, my costumes got better for sure I got to be a snowflake which was this lovely costume with sparkles and well seeing as it was a snowflake it was white. There was a typical ballet top with romantic tutu. My latest role in nutcracker was a lead flower and well, look at the picture to see what that looks like. That was probably my favorite costume. Anyways have a great day and just keep dancing. ~Mia
