The actual Demo

I love dancing in fount of an audience. It does make me nervous, but I thrive on applause and preforming. When we ran through the whole demo before the actual demo, I got the case of the wobbly legs and having a case of wobbly legs on pointe shoes is not pretty. So, I was pretty nervous. So, I did the only thing I could, I practiced the part I had struggled in, over and over and over again until I had it down. I was using too much force and once I had calmed down and taken it slow while practicing, it worked out pretty well. When I actually ran into the room to do my demo, I was nervous, but when you're preforming, you have to throw the nerves to the side and just dance. My eyes locked with my teachers and she helped me with hand gestures on my timing. I was determined to get my choreography down and not fall. It may not be something gigantic to strive for, but you have to set reasonable goals for yourself. I have to admit, I made my goals. I didn't fall and when all of the other girls had danced their pieces, they said they had almost fallen at some pointe in their piece and I was glad because I had not.  Anyways, as always, have a great day and just keep dancing!! ~Mia
