While I was in a coma for 4 weeks my ribs had healed nicely and the doctor said I could start physical therapy once they gave me the okay to leave.

When the doctor left the room my eyes wondered to the door. I kept seeing that night I woke up. The look of Feo's face was one of hurt and betrayal. I don't know what I did to deserve this. She won't call me, won't text, she would even respond to my mom, who she had become friends with.

"Gunnar, earth to Gunnar! You're not going into another coma are you?" Shannon said snapping his fingers in front of my face.

I turned to look at him and shook my head. "What is it?"

"Your mother and I were talking about your physical therapy options. Antonio said he'd be glad to help, and he'd do it for free, but the choice is up to you."

"That's fine. I just wanna get out of here."

My mom leaned over and kissed my head. "Sweetie I know you're worried about Feo, but I'm sure she'll understand."

The night I woke up Moxxi was there apologizing for antagonizing Adam to put me here and begging me to take her back. I wasn't going to be like her, so I wiped her tears remembering some of the fun times we had, which weren't many, but I tried to see the good person she could be, so I could find a way to let her down easy. That's when I saw Feo. I didn't hear her, and with my eyes being shut for 4 weeks I could barely make out her figure across the dark room, but once my eyes came to I saw her.

All I wanted was her, but she turned from me. I tried to call her name, but it came out a choked whisper. She didn't hear me. Later on that night the team went home, and I asked my parents to leave Moxxi and I alone. I could see on my mother's face that she didn't agree to this at all, but granted me my wish.

"Gunnar, I'm so sorry," Moxxi said leaning in to kiss me, but I turned away.

"I'm not going to take you back. I would say I'm sorry, but I'm not. Your a funny and exciting girl Moxxi, but you're not for me."

And that's what happened. I rejected her for a second time. I felt sorry for her, but I wanted someone else.

After a day of observation, poking, prodding, and being forced to eat and drink, I was finally given the okay to leave, but moving hurt like a bitch, and I was barely strong enough to support my own weight.

"Let me help," Shannon said coming over to my good side and wrapping my arm around his shoulders while he supported me at my waist.

"Thanks," I responded as he guided me to my doctor's room. He requested that I try to gain some strength back by walking there so he could give me a brace to keep me from moving in the wrong way.

After he secured the brace he gave me my prescription and we were on our way. "Gunnar Shannon wants us to move in with him. He's got a bigger house and lot more space, but of course you don't have to say anything about it now. Right now, I just want you to get better." My mom turned around and smiled at me.

All I could do was nod. "Hey I want to go somewhere before we go home."

Shannon looked at me in the review. "Where to?" I gave him Feo's address and once he pulled up to the small house he put the car in park and began to unbuckle his seatbelt.

"No it's okay I'll be fine." I reassured him and got out of the car on my own. I made my way up to the door, and nearly ran out of breath doing it, but I knocked and waited for an answer. Soon a tall blonde man with an accent opened the door. This must be her dad. I've never met him before.

"Can I help you?" He asked looking me over. "You're her friend from the hospital! I'm glad to see you're alright!"

I nodded unable to talk. I was still trying to catch my breath. "Yeah, umm could you give Feo a message for me? She's not responding to any of my messages or calls-"

"Of course! Of course anything!"

"Could you tell her that whatever I did, I'm sorry."

The man looked at me for a while before nodding. It seemed as if he was trying to debate whether or not to hurt me.

"Thanks," I said before walking back to the car.

Shannon looked back at me through the rearview before driving back to our house. I didn't feel talking or associating with anyone. I went straight to my room sat on my bed. It felt good to be home. I placed my head on my pillow and fell asleep.

"Gunnar. Gunnar!"

"What?" I moaned looking up at my mom. It felt like I had barely slept and the sun was still shining in my room. I had hoped she would at least let me sleep until dinner.

"God, you scared me! I thought you had went into another coma!" She began placing kisses all over my face I looked at my clock and saw that it was only thirty minutes from when I went to sleep.

"What are you talking about? It's only been thirty minutes."

"No Gunnar it's been an entire 24 hours."

"What?" I looked at the clock again this time looking at the day. It was Wednesday. I winced as I attempted to get out of bed. My mother helped and wrapped her arms around my waist.

"I made you some oatmeal. I thought it would be better to start off with something light."

I nodded as she helped me to the kitchen and sat me down at the breakfast bar in front of a bowl of blueberry oatmeal and orange juice. It was then I realized I was famished and dug in.

As I ate the doorbell rang. I didn't pay much attention to who it was because right now all I wanted was food.

"Glad to see you're doing well," Antonio said walking into the kitchen. When I saw him the first thing I noticed was his lack of a shirt. All he wore was athletic shorts and sneakers.

"Gunnar I thought you might like to go with Antonio for today. Just to get your strength up." My mother smiled at me and took my hand squeezing it gently.

I nodded and finished my oatmeal. "Just let me get changed," I said getting down from the bar and returning to my room. I put on sweats, a t-shirt, and some deodorant. When I made my way back out, my mom was dressed for work. She smiled at me and kissed my cheek as I approached.

We all left the house and she helped me into her car instead of letting ride with Antonio because he's sports car would be far too uncomfortable for me.

We drove to his dojo, and when she stopped to let me out she kissed my cheek one more time. "I'll be across the street if you need me, honey."

I nodded and watched her drive off. I turned back to the building. Bo Martial Arts. I've seen this place numerous times but never knew what it taught and still didn't.

I walked inside and Antonio had music going. "What exactly is Bo martial arts?" I asked.

Antonio went to a wall of long staffs and grabbed a blue one. "This is called a bo staff. I teach people how to defend themselves with this, but I also teach them fun tricks to do with it. Because let's be honest it's not like you're going to find a random stick similar to this while walking on the street." He laughed.

"What tricks do you teach?"

He smiled and began to twirl the staff with incredible speed keeping beat to the music. I was amazed to say the least. He did it so effortlessly. He brought the bo staff above his head and let it go allowing it to continue to spin on its own in his right hand. When he brought it back down he spun it to his right and back around in front of him he then let it go flawlessly spinning and kicking through the air over it as it spun and catching it in the same instant.

"That is what I teach here," he said smiling. He wasn't even remotely out of breath.

"Can you teach me that?"

He smiled. "First you need to work on getting your strength back."
