The passed few days seemed like a horrible drug trip. The police came by to question Gunnar on Tuesday, and he seemed even worse off than he did before they showed up. Now he's locked in his room and won't come out for anything unless he's going to school.
I've tried talking to him. Everyone has, but he won't let anyone in. I feel like there's something more going on than what he's telling us.
It was finally Saturday, and other than the situation between Gunnar and his parents, everyone was happy, and I was ecstatic to have my brother back.
I walked down the stairs, and I could see the back of Bug's head. It looked like he was looking down on something. I don't think he heard me, so I snuck up behind him and looked over his shoulder.
I couldn't believe what I was seeing. He was stalking Dr. Bennett on Facebook. I did everything I could to stifle back a laugh. It was cute and creepy at the same time, but mostly creepy.
My brother flirting and stalking his doctor? Unbelievable. I continued to watch him, and he had found a picture of her on the beach in a bikini and sweats. He stared at it for the longest. Checking out her body no doubt.
I finally had enough, and quickly snatched his phone from him. "You know you're being a major creep right now!"
"Nat, give me back my phone," he demanded struggling to stand up from the couch.
"You're stalking your doctor. That's pretty gross and weird and extremely creepy." I looked at his phone and looked more closely at her. "She is pretty though, and I like her name. Emeri," I said testing it out.
"Nat." He said my name threateningly.
"I always have your best interest at heart, and Facebook stalking the woman that pulled a bullet out of you is certainly not one of them."
He rushed over to me reaching for the device, but I pulled it away causing him to reach too far. A ripping sound filled the room followed by him doubling over in pain.
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" I rushed to him and held him up to keep him from collapsing. I guided him to the nearest chair to assess the damage. He was bleeding. A lot.
"I think I tore my stitches."
"What am I going to do? Shannon and Jenna are at work, and I can't drive yet!"
"Call Jared."
I looked through his contacts until I saw Jared Leto. I quickly pressed his number and listened to it ring a few times before he picked up.
"Hey Toni what's wrong?"
"Jared this is Nat. He tore his stitches, and there's no one here to get him to the hospital!" I cried urgently.
"I'll be right there!" Jared hung up.
I turned back to my brother. He was turning pale and his shirt was soaked with blood. I ran to the nearest bathroom and grabbed a towel when I got back I pressed it to his wound. "I'm so sorry. This is all my fault. I didn't mean to. I-"
"It's okay." His voice was just barely a whisper. He was growing weaker and weaker by the second.
Then the front door flew open and Jared came rushing in. That was fast, I thought. Jared helped me get him into his car. The engine was already running, so once he was in he sped off toward the hospital with his hazard lights on.
Antonio was just barely conscious, and he was mumbling things under his breath. I couldn't really make out what he was saying but it sounded like a mix of Italian and English.
When we finally made it to the hospital Jared helped me get him. We were half carrying him half dragging him because he was practically unconscious now. out doctors and nurses rushed to us, and one of them was Dr. Bennett.
"Get him on a gurney now!" She shouted. The male nurses put him on the contraption and she began to check his vitals. I followed after them all the way to the ER, but when they took him in for surgery they wouldn't allow me in.
"Miss there are restrooms you can clean up in right over there," a nurse said pointing in near the the ER room where there was a biohazard sign.
I looked down at myself and finally realized I was covered in blood. I rushed to the women's room and began to wash the blood off. I looked in the mirror and began to cry as the realization got me that this was my brother's blood, and it was all because of me. My hands were shaking violently.
"Natasha, are you okay?" Jared's voice asked worriedly on the other side of the door.
"It's just. My clothes they're-" I couldn't get out the last few words.
"Give me a moment," he said before I heard his footsteps retreating. I waited for what seemed like forever and then there was a knock on the door. "Here. You can wear these for now."
I opened the door just a crack. He was handing me clothes, and by the looks of them they were his.
"They're probably way to big for you, but they're better than what you have on now."
"Thank you," I said taking them from him. He walked away, and I shut the door taking my soiled clothes off. There were parts of my body that were cover in blood so I washed it off before putting on Jared's clothes. He had given me one of his sweatshirts and a pair of athletic shorts. As I put them on I could smell his sweet scented cologne. He smelled wonderful, and had excellent taste in fabric. The shirt was comfortable and soft to the touch almost like petting a puppy.
The sweatshirt was long enough to be a dress, so I didn't worry about the shorts. I threw my clothes away in the hazard bin and walked out with Jared's shorts in hand.
Jared was sitting on a couch with his legs crossed. He seemed to be deep in thought. I joined him and held tightly to his shorts. I grew more and more anxious as minutes ticked by and nothing on Antonio. Jared seemed to sense this and pulled me to his side and began to pat my head.
I rested against him letting him comfort me. His body was solid and toned from what I could tell, and God he smelled so good. I began to relax falling deeper into a trance and then my eyes slipped shut.
