I've been away from Tampa for two months now, and to be honest I didn't miss it. In the years I lived there, I didn't make half the friendships I have now. The only reason I would remotely miss Florida is my mom. She isn't the same anymore, so invested in Greg and pleasing him. I have new people to rely on now, I didn't need her as much anymore. This last month, Luke continued to tutor me, and update: I still suck at algebra II. Tarin and I still aren't really talking, and we've moved seats in algebra. So we really aren't talking now. I guess the best thing in this last month was Carson. He's cute, smart, and all that good stuff. The only bad thing is, we have like nothing in common. I mean like at all. It was a different kind of relationship, not that I was looking for anything serious.
"You coming?" Carson called from his car, that was parked in front of my house. I quickly ran out of the house, and over to his car. "You look nice." He smirked, and I just rolled my eyes. I got into the car, and made myself comfortable. Kylie threw a party like every weekend, and Carson had invited me to this one. We had gone on like two dates, to the basic movie and dinner. Yet most of the time we just went to his sister's parties together, even if we went in separated groups once there.
Once we got to Carson's house, I didn't see anyone I knew around. So we decided to dance a bit, but I soon noticed he was keeping close to Kylie and Michael. Which I found a bit strange, "Are you watching them?" I asked, not trying to push his buttons. When it came to his sister, Carson got quite protective and aggressive.
"Maybe." He mumbled through gritted teeth. If anything he had already been getting himself worked up, before I knew it a whole scene unfolded before me. Michael had started getting a little too touchy, feely while him and Kylie were dancing. So Carson grabbed me by the hand, and yanked me through the crowd, "What the fuck do you think your doing?" He yelled, and pushed Michael back away from Kylie.
"Carson, he wasn't even fucking doing anything! Back off!" Kylie muttered angrily, as she grabbed Michael's hand and walked away. He dropped my hand as he got tense, and I quickly grabbed his forearm to get some control, "Calm down." I advised. He was breathing heavy, and yanked his arm away from my hold.
"I have to take care of this shit." He explained before walking away in their direction. Carson got heated over the most little of things, one things that we didn't have in common. I sighed, and used this as an excuse to find my way to the kitchen. There was my favorite blue cooler, and as I went to grab a drink. I heard a familiar deep voice, "Do you really think that's a good idea?" They laughed.
I looked up from the cooler to meet the same brown ones, "Maybe, maybe not." I smiled jokingly, and made myself comfortable sitting on top of the counter. Calum stood in front of me with a drink in hand, "Where's Carson?" He said as he took a sip from the bottle.
"Somewhere being Tybalt." I joked referring to a character from a book in English. When Calum looked at me a bit confused, I knew he didn't get it. I brushed it off, "Do you mind?" I questioned as I went to grab his bottle. Calum shook his head, as I took a rather large sip. I handed it back to him, it was practically empty.
"I'm going to go get another one, want?" He explained, and I simply nodded. I watched as he went over to the cooler and grabbed two, new bottles. I also watched as he caught sight of some blonde, and scurried off with my drink. For a second, I watched my feet as they hung off the side of the counter. As I began to get bored some random kid ran into the kitchen, "Who wants to play beer pong?" I shrugged my shoulders as if trying to convince myself, then without a second thought hopping off the counter to follow the random kid.

I had been chatting up this random blonde for quite awhile, when I heard a commotion. A couple of people had start gathering in front one of the bedrooms. I excused myself from the random girl, and found my way over. To my surprise there was Brynn with a ping pong ball in hand and a bunch of kids cheering her on. I watched in amusement as she was winning the game. Well I guess the excitement, and the cheering had gotten to her head. Since at the end of the game when she won, she decided to get on top of the table.
