I don't know how I had ended up at this party, maybe it had to do something with Ashton. Him and his hippies could be found at about any party that was going on, and with the hippies was Kylie. So it had become easier and easier to find myself at places like this. While this party was different and a bit more exclusive then some others I've attended; it was all the same. After walking around aimlessly for a while, I found my way to the kitchen and as expected found Brynn. She was sitting on the granite countertop sipping on a beer I assumed. It's what she usually did, at least when she wasn't with Xander or Calum for that matter. I waved over at Brynn and she hopped off the counter excitedly, "How's my pal?" She smirked, and I could tell off the bat Brynn was already tipsy.

"Doing okay," I nod simply and she continues staring at me with her eyes opened wide scaring me a bit, "I actually have a question for you." She was giddy and could barley stand still. Yet she still tried to keep calm and look as if her attention was all on me. Brynn ran a hand threw her hair impatiently, "Go ahead, shoot." She says enthusiastically with hand motions and all. I look up around the room and make sure that a certain someone isn't in sight or at least hearing distance. With the coast clear, I still make sure to lower my voice, "You remember when I dated Kylie?" Brynn nodded with a smirk on her face like she already knew what's up, which bugged me in a sense cause I haven't even finished. I narrowed my eyebrows a bit before relaxing, "I like her, but we had so many problems and I don't know if I should ask her out or not." I finished and now was ready for any comments or looks she had.

"Michael this isn't second grade. If you like her then you should just be with her." Tone and all it made her sound kind of bitchy, but then I remember she could be that way sometimes under the influence. It was also very hypocritical of her, since it was so obvious that she, at the very most, liked Calum still. I nodded as if I was taking this pathetic advice seriously, "Wow thank you for truly opening my eyes." I thanked sarcastically, but she didn't seem to pick up on it. Instead pulling me into a hug of sorts, and mumbling, "Anything for my best pal." At this point, she seemed to be hanging on me like a koala more then actually hugging me. Okay maybe Brynn was a little more then tipsy. I tried pulling her arms off of me but she kept grabbing on to my shirt and holding on somehow. She laughed as if it was game.

"Brynn how about we go dance?" I ask in attempt to try to wear off the alcohol, and for other reasons. She dropped her hold from my shirt, "I'm down." She giggles in amusement with her own words. As were walking out of the kitchen, I almost collide with Calum and James. My abrupt stop makes Brynn bump into my back and suddenly the air becomes really thick. I don't know it's not like we aren't all friends here; sorta. For a minute, I think Calum was sizing me up. Brynn seems to peek out from behind me, and that's when Calum seemed to relax. James was the one to finally say something, "Kylie's been looking for you, Michael." I nodded but really the information seemed to go right through me. Calum cleared his throat next, and said, "Well talk to you guys later." Then he brushed past Brynn and I to make way for James.

"There always together, have you noticed that?" Brynn pointed out once we had walked away and over to where people were dancing. I don't know how we had kept it a secret all summer long on how James was the 'mystery girl' Calum cheated with. Brynn barley know who James was in the first place. None of us would know how she would react. I shrugged as if I knew nothing at all, "She doesn't that many people, she's from Wales." Brynn rolled her eyes, and seemed very unimpressed, "Everyone knows she's from Wales, that's all she can ever talk about." Just from that comment I could tell she wasn't very found of her. I couldn't tell if that was because she was 'with' Calum or for actual reasons. Doing my best I tried to sway away from this conversation not knowing what Luke would do to me if the truth slipped out. Yet even as we were dancing, I could tell that she was still on her mind and I knew the truth would find its way out sooner or later.
