It was a huge weight off of my shoulder to know that Luke and I were back on the level we were on before. I was going to stay after school to keep him company as he waited for Carter at track, but instead Calum and I had plans of our own. As Luke grew closer to Carter, Calum and I hung out almost everday, you know the days where he didn't have detention.

We had been driving for about 15 minutes, and we were just complaining about people in school, nothing new has really happened to us, so that's good to know there's no more drama. "You hungry?" Calum asks as he stops at a red light. I think for a second, wondering if I really wanted to eat at the moment, finally I nod my head yes, and the light turns green. We continued down the road until we found a Subway. As we park we notice Kylie and Michael from a far, but instead of their normal sickening happy vibe, it look as if they were fighting. Calum and I got closer to see the action, and slowly declined into our seats, even though Michael probably knows Calum's car. Calum rolled his window down a tad, and we could faintly hear their voices.

"Michael I saw you, you act as if I'm fucking deaf!" Kylie yelled getting into Michael's face. Michael just stood there, I could tell he was tense by his posture. "You don't just hang at some other girls house!" Was Michael caught cheating on Kylie? I turn over to look at Calum, who seemed as if he were thinking exactly what I was thinking.

"You won't even let me get a single word out of my damn mouth. How do you expect me to explain what happened?" Michael said in an almost yelling tone, as if he were on the edge and about to fall off.

"Because you won't tell the truth!"Kylie yelled back. I couldn't see why she just assumed things, if Calum and I were in this position, I'd want him to explain yourself. I saw Michael open his mouth as if he were going to say something but quickly, "You just come up with stupid excuses."

"You know what, fuck off. Call your bitch of a brother to take your sorry ass home." Michael said as he stomped away and into his car. My jaw dropped and so did my heart, I turned to Calum who's facial expression mimicked mine. I've never hear Michael get so anger, or even curse that much, and Michael seems to love cursing. Kylie just stood there shocked, as if she were about to cry, but she had to process what the hell just happened before it could reach her emotions.

I looked over to the area where Michaels car had been parked, and it was gone. I wanted to ask Michael what happened, and talk to him about it, but I didn't want him to know that we know. But in seconds I heard a tap on my window causing me and Calum to jump. I cock my head to see Michael with a sarcastic smile, and waving, shit.

Carter's practice was about to be over, and I was getting tired of scrolling through all my social media. I texted Brynn once, but she never replied, I hope Calum isn't the type to  check phones, I literally just said "hi." I look over and see the little huddle the track team was in, broke apart as they all went to grab their stuff. I noticed that Carter was limping as she made her way towards me, I could feel my eyebrows furrow.

"What happened?" I ask standing from my seat and hand her a bottle of water.

"I was tripped." She says trying to avoid conversation. I studied her movement as she put all of her belongings into her bag, she had a straight face, no smile nor smile, and not even a frown. "Ready." She says as she puts her bag over her shoulder. We started to walk to my car and I notice that her ankle or whatever was really bugging her. Without speaking or eye contact, I grab the heavy bag off of her shoulder and carry it for her. "Thank you." I hear her say from behind me. I just nod my head in response.

In the car ride she was more quiet than usual, and it kind of bugged me. "So who tripped you?" I say breaking the silence, it already bugged me that this fall made her feel like this, so might as well know who the hell did it.
