6| Just talk to her
~Luke~
During Geography I saw Calum looking in Stephanie's direction and then shyly looking away when she caught him staring. Her cheeks tinted a light pink colour as she tried to hide the blush that was forming.
I nudged Calum. "Just talk to her."
Calum's eyes widened when he took in my words as he shook his head violently. "No way."
"Why not," I groaned.
"Because..." Calum's sentence trailed off from there.
"Because?..."
"I just don't want to, okay?" He sounded annoyed.
I sighed. "Okay."
My attention went back to Mr Smith who was talking about longitude and latitude, or something like that.
Why can't Calum just speak to the damn girl and stop being so fucking awkward. Why does he have to ignore a girl he's obviously forming a crush on. No matter how little.
Ring.
Everyone started packing away, ready for the next class. German.
Stephanie was on her own -which seems to be regular for her- as we walked over to our German room. On the way there, there were people coming the opposite direction from us who kept sticking out their hands and gripping onto Stephanie's forearm like a 'superheroes teaming up' handshake, with a few "hey"'s here and there.
Finally, we made it to our German class, with Stephanie who probably handshaked 20 people. Like, is that a thing or something?
"You two are the new boys?" The teacher (who's name I don't know) asked us.
Calum and I nodded. "Yes, madam."
"Okay," she said "well, for now I'll put you" she pointed at me "over there" she pointed at a free seat next to Stephanie and a girl called Zoe "and you" she said pointing at Calum "are going to sit over there" she pointed at a seat 2 rows in front of mine.
We nodded, parted ways as we walked over to our seats. I gave Stephanie a little smile as I walked over and she returned it.
I sat down and took out all the things I need for class and that's when my mind finally caught up to the present.
Oh God, I don't know any German.
