16|| You called the police?!

~Stephanie~

Once the driver dropped us off at TESCO Calum paid for us because I didn't have any money as I kept apologising.

"Seriously Stephanie," Calum laughed, "It's alright. It wasn't that much anyways."

"But--" I try to argue only to be interrupted by Calum.

"If you don't shut up," Calum says, "I'll be forced to shut you up."

I was silent for a moment.

"It's kinda hard to take you seriously with your past of being clumsy," I state, crossing my arms over my chest.

"You'll probably trip over air," I continue, "and then end up knocking me out; that's the only way you'll shut me up."

He rolls his eyes at me, walking into TESCO as I follow behind him.

"Why are you walking behind--" Calum's sentence is interrupted as he fell to the polished floor.

I try holding in my laughter but fail almost instantly as I look down at his surprised look.

"Why'd you trip me up?" Calum asks, making the sentence sound very dramatic as he pouts and crosses his arms.

Drama queen.

I shrug. "You deserve it."

"What did I do this time," Calum exclaims.

You're making me fall for you, idiot.

I continue to look at him with an impassive look as he put his hand out for me to take and help him up.

I ignore it.

I walk passed his outstretched hand whilst saying, "Making me fall." For you.

We were probably at TESCO for a little over an hour because Calum was being a fucking princess and kept putting things back only to pick them back up after a few minutes.

"About fucking time," I sigh as Calum and I walk out the automatic doors of TESCO.

I pull my phone out of my blazer pocket.

"Are you gonna call another taxi?" Calum asks, peering over my shoulder to look at my phone.

"No," I tell him, "we can walk to Charlie's from here."

I turn on my phone and my eyes widened as I look at the notifications.

34 missed calls from Charlie

14 missed calls from Luke

51 messages -make that 52- from Charlie

28 messages from Luke

"Ummm, Calum?" I ask, causing him to look up at me with those mesmerising brown eyes.

"Check your phone," I order as he reaches into his blazer and pulls his phone out.

"Shit," I heard him mumble. "I think we should call then back."

A mischievous smile played on my lips.

"Don't call them back," I tell him, "let them worry."

Calum joins in with my smile and chucked lightly. "Fine," he says, putting his phone back into his pocket.

"They can last 5 minutes without knowing where we are," I shrug, starting to walk towards Charlie's.

"Where the fuck have you two been?!" Charlie whisper-shouts as soon as he opened the door.

We're dead.

We laugh nervously. "TESCO."

"For 2 hours?!" Charlie looks at us unbelievably.

"We got carried away with the trollies," Calum sighs.

"Is it them?" a deep voice says from behind Charlie.

"Yeah," Charlie says, moving out the way, revealing the two men behind him.

"Sorry for the worry," Charlie apologised to the two policemen who walked passed him, then eventually me and Calum.

"Don't worry," one of the police men say. "At least you know they're safe now."

Charlie smiles tightly. "Thank you for your help. Have a good night."

"You too," the other police man says, walking away.

"You called the police?!" I whisper shout, not wanting the police men to hear me.

"What do you expect me to do?" Charlie argues back. "You two were supposed to be here 2 hours ago and you weren't picking up your phones so we suggested the worst."

Calum and I met each other's gaze, fighting over what we should do.

In the end Calum won. Typical.

We both sigh. "Sorry," we both mumble, apologising to Charlie.

Charlie sighs along with us as he rubs his forehead. "Forgiven. Now come inside," he says, ushering us in.

As soon as Calum and I walked into the living room we were bombarded by the guys.

"Were you kidnapped?"

"We thought you died."

"Where'd you go?"

"I've missed you so much."

"Damn guys," I laugh when they tackle Calum and I to the floor.

"I've missed you guys too," I hear Calum say as all I can see is a bundle if legs and arms.

"It was just 2 hours," I managed to get out.

"Pffffft 2 hours," Calum says, "more like forever."
