Stephanie's been acting weirdly these past few days. First, she's blanking out at random times. Then, she fell down the stairs. Finally, I think she's ignoring me and Luke.

I'm kind of worried.

Damn. I sound like a mother.

But, really, she's just been acting really distant lately and I've been itching to ask her what it is that's been bothering her. I know we haven't known each other for that long but I feel like we've grown really close.

What do you think's wrong with her?Luke's neat handwriting read.

Idk... but she's been acting out of it for a few days I reply, passing the note back to Luke.

Me: You sit next to her in German later. She can't avoid you then. Ask her.

I watched Luke eagerly as his blue eyes read over the note. After reading the note he looks up at me and nods, turning his head back to look at the front of the class.

Stephanie, you can't run away from this.

"She just shrugged and said 'nothing's wrong'," Luke says as he let out an exasperated sigh.

"Something's obviously wrong," I state.

"You think?" Luke asks sarcastically whilst glaring at me.

"Jesus, calm down," I say with my arms up in surrender.

"I don't- in any way -look like Jesus," Luke says.

"Ughhh," I groan, punching Luke on his shoulder. "I can never talk to you seriously."

He chuckles. "Carry on."

"How 'bout we go round her house after school," I suggest.

"And look like stalkers," he counters. "Cool."

I roll my eyes.

"Wait," Luke suddenly says, "what if she goes around Charlie's house?"

Oh yeah. I forgot about that.

"Ummm, if I see Charlie I'll ask," I say.

"Yep, she going 'round his house," I tell Luke when school's over.

"We're going to Charlie's house, aren't we?" Luke sighs.

"Mhmm," I hum in confirmation.

"Do I even get a choice?" Luke asks me hopefully.

"Nuhu," I shake my head no.

"Well that's great," he says walking towards Michael and Ashton.

"Hey," we all say at the same time.

We all stop to look at each other and then we all laugh at the same time.

Weird.

"We're going to Charlie's," I announce once we're all in the car.

"Can I ask why?" Michael asks us, leaning forward.

"No," I deadpan at the same time Luke says, "'Cause of Stephanie."

I glare at him for a while before I start the car and drive to Charlie's.

"Hey, isn't that Stephanie?" Ashton asks, pointing at a girl across the street- well, two girls actually.
