What to do when the teacher calls on you and your not paying attention
if you are answering math problems and they call on you, try to look down at your book and just look like your trying to figure it out. Say you don't get it or something like that.
If you are assigned something, but you don't know what it is, ask a friend exactly what you are doing, then once you know what you are doing, ask the teacher you are confused, if they ask what you are confused on, just point to a problem and they will say that it isn't your problem and then they will tell you your problem. If they don't know what your problem is, then ask someone if they remember your number/problem.
If you are doing something on the board and you don't know what to do ask the person next to you or close by and ask them what you're doing, they will probably tell you it, then if not, the teacher will probably repeat it. That's what happened to me before.
If the teacher if teaching something to the class by writing on the board, and they call you asking what to do next, or what they are talking about, just say you still don't get it. Or once again, look down at your book if you are using one and just look confused?
THESE ARE REALLY BAD TIPS CONTINUING ON
If the teacher catches you passing notes , just say you guys are sharing your knowledge :)) It worked for us. And say it confidently, don't say it a way to make your teacher seem suspicious!
If they catch you texting or something, slowly drop the phone in your lap, but don't make it look like it's obvious. Just casually drop it in your lap then act like you are searching for something. If your desks have those shelves built into the actual desk, where you put your books and stuff, just look like your searching for something in that desk.
