01. avoid growth-stunting products
- alcohol & smoking can stunt your growth if drunken or smoked whilst still young.
- caffeine does not stunt your growth, but will however keep you awake. not getting enough sleep can stunt your growth.
- no steroids! any explanation necessary?
02. get plenty of sleep
- make sure to get 8-11 hours of sleep per night.
- if you have trouble falling asleep, take a warm bath or drink a hot cup of chamomile tea before bed.
- if necessary, try to eliminate loud noises and lights.
03. eat right
- in order to grow taller, you need loads of vitamins and minerals!
- make sure to get enough calcium [ dairy & green vegetables ] , vitamin d [ fish, alfalfa, mushroom, & sun ] , and zinc [ oysters, chocolates, peanuts, eggs, peas, & asparagus ]
- get enough carbs, calories, and protein.
- eat on a time schedule.
- taking 500 mg of niacin has shown to increase growth hormone levels, only when taken on an empty stomach.
04. keep your immune system strong
- eat fresh & healthy foods
05. exercise
- swimming, biking, running and yoga are good exercises to do when trying to grow taller.
- stretch during the day.
- if your growth plates have closed due to your age, exercising will not help.
06. practice good posture
- even though this may not help you actually grow, it may add an inch or two to your appearance.NOTE: you should be happy with yourself and be confident! :)
