Ways to save money

1. Look for money around the house. In the sofa, under the carpet, in old pencil holders, old wallets, vases..

2. Do not spend on things that won't last.

Like, magazines, junk food, make-up you don't really need.. think about what you need. Not what you want at the moment. I bought a Nintendo DS when I was ten, used it for a year and haven't been using it for years. So think about it. When you'll be 20 you won't play with PSP all the time, will you? xD You don't actually need that.

3. If you tend to buy unneeded stuff, ask yourself the following questions:

- How long will I be able to use it?

- How often will I use/wear it?

- Is it something I can sell when I won't need it anymore?

- Is there something that keeps me away from buying it? What?

- Is the price worth the item? Might I find it for less?

Also, go shopping with a friend so you can ask their opinion and have fun.

4. Coupons. Sometimes to use them you must have a fidelity card, at least in my country, because it once happened to me, I was so happy I was having a coupon and the shop assistant told me quite rudely I needed this special card and then I just went away.. so make sure you don't need it or you have a fidelity card or something. :)

ALWAYS have them in your wallet anyway! They're a big help.

5. D.I.Y. as much as you can. Clothes, food, furniture, and always think you can do anything you want if you have the will to reach it! You'll feel satisfied of your work if you do things yourself. :)

6. Count your money. Do not just say "yeah I have enough money" when you don't exactly know how much cash you've got.

7. Earn money.

I don't like being paid by my parents, in fact I stopped getting pocket money because I feel very strange with that, I do not like people I love giving me money if I don't do nothing.

Do chores instead. It's just me, but in this case too, being paid by my parents feels bad, it's unnatural to me. So I'd prefer to do them for strangers or relatives.. or neighbors.

7. Sell stuff.

Old stuff. You never know if someone's interested in your old dolls, Barbies, toy cars or kiddy books.
