iNGREDiENTS:
scone ;
+ 2 cups all purpose flour
+ 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
+ 1 tablespoon baking powder
+ ½ teaspoon kosher salt
+ 6 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, diced
+ 1 small box (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix, optional
+ 1 vanilla bean, scraped (or 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste or extract)
+ 1 large egg
+ ½ cup plus 1 tablespoon heavy cream

frosting ;
+ 2 tablespoons butter, softened
+ 1 cup powdered sugar
+ 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste or extract
+ 2-3 tablespoons cream
iNSTRUCTiONS:
cake ;
O1. preheat oven to 425 F.
O2. line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
O3. whisk together: flour, sugar, baking powder & salt in a large bowl.
O4. add cold butter and cut in using a pastry blender or two butter knives until small crumbs form.
O5. stir in pudding mix (this is optional, but makes sure you get a fluffy and soft scone).
O6. make a well in the center of the mixture and add vanilla, egg & ½ cup heavy cream.
O7. stir gently with a fork until it’s just mixed, and then bring the dough together with your hands.
O8. turn out the dough onto a lightly floured surface.
O9. form two small rounds and cut each round into 8 triangles and place onto the baking sheet.
1O. brush each triangle with a little bit of the remaining 1 tablespoon heavy cream.
11. bake until golden, and cool before frosting.

O1. beat butter & sugar with a hand mixture until crumbly.
O2. beat in vanilla and 2 tablespoons cream. continue adding cream until you get the consistency that you want.
O3. frost your cooled scones wth a knife or dip them in the frosting.
O4. let it harden, then serve. enjoy! c:
