CHAPTER TWO!!!! :D

(This chapter has been edited for mistakes)

"So, we have the candles, the white chalk, the bowl/cauldron, the red string, the herbs, and the little figures for voodoo dolls," I listed. "All we need now is a picture of me and one of Luke."

"Why Luke?" she asked, confused.

"Well, you want Luke, and I want Michael. So, if I switch with him, he's here, and I'm where Michael is. Logic," I told her. "Let's get to it."

"I still don't know about this," Lydia said slowly. "I mean, we have no idea what kind of consequences this will prove. What happens if it works and you get stuck? Or if Luke gets mad about it? Or if one of you gets hurt? Or the spell kills you? Or-"

I cut her off.

"Lydia, relax. None of that will happen."

"But, Nikki, how do you know?"

"I've worked with Wicca and spells before, just trust me," I told her.

"What?"

"Yeah," I said, arranging the stuff we needed and printing out pictures of myself and Luke.

"What do you mean?" Lydia asked.

"Well, it interested me, so I looked into it. I've tried a few spells before. A few worked, a few didn't. But none of them went horribly wrong," I said.

The pictures had printed. I put them in their respectful place on the little round table we had grabbed to use as our alter.

I had put the bowl/cauldron in the center, over a black tablecloth with a pentacle drawn on it in the white marker.

The herbs were all in separate containers at this point. The candles were stood, one on each side of the bowl. The pictures were between the candles' spots around the bowl.

"Okay, then. But if you die, I'm not responsible and I'm not going to your funeral," she said.

"I'm okay with that. But if this works, you have to explain what happened to me, or Luke, because he will be me. Like, in my body," I told her.

Her eyes widened slightly, but she nodded. We finished setting up the alter and I went to grab a match for the candles.

"So, let's start," I said, lighting the candles.

I set one of the voodoo dolls on Luke's picture and the other on mine.

"Oh, great goddess of nature, grant me the power to become another person as they become me. Allow me to switch bodies with the person I have chosen," I prayed. I put a hand over Luke's voodoo doll.

"Allow this doll to symbolize Luke Robert Hemmings."

I, then, moved my hand to hover over my doll.

"Allow this doll to symbolize myself, Nikkolette Jane Carsons."

I, then, picked up both dolls and the red string. Tying the string around the dolls' waists, feet, and heads, I made sure they were snug together. Placing the dolls inside the bowl/cauldron, I covered them with the herbs.

"Switch these two souls. Make them skip bodies into each other's. Have them become the other person."

I took a candle in both hands, touching the flames together, and set the herbs and dolls alight.

A puff of blue fire shot upward out of the bowl/cauldron, but nothing else happened.

I had to finish the spell, though.

"Thank you, goddess for all that you have done. Merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again."

Still, nothing happened. I put the candles down and blew them out. The herbs and dolls were ash. They weren't even smoking or still on fire.

"Well, that obviously didn't work," Lydia said.

"I guess not. But sometimes spells take a while, so it still might work," I told her, still standing by the makeshift alter.

"I don't think it's gonna happen." Lydia sat on my bed, pulling her iPod out of her pocket and started reading the story she was reading earlier.

I flopped onto the bed, face-planting into one of the pillows.

"Now what?" I asked, groaning.

"I don't know. This one is boring," she said, exiting out of the fanfic she was reading. "I'm tired though."

"We can go to bed now," I suggested.

"Okay, but we have to make the bed first," Lydia said. I sighed.

"You're gonna make me get up?" I complained, groaning.

"Yes."

"Uhg! Fine!"

I stood and we fixed the covers on my bed, putting the pillows in the right spot and laying back down.

"I still don't get why you have to have the bed made to go to sleep," I said.

"I just do," she replied. "I have no idea."

We talked about random things for around an hour before Lydia finally dozed off.

I don't know why, but I had a weird feeling that something big was going to happen tomorrow.

I blew it off, not thinking about it, and fell asleep.

Disclaimer: The spelling used is complete bull crap. Please do not try to use spells and magic (or what you think is magic) unless you are a true Wiccan. Things can go bad and you can get horrible karma. I'm not even joking. I studied Wicca before and some of the consequences are not pretty. Most of it is nature based anyway. So, please if you are determined to perform a spell, research it COMPLETELY before attempting or talk to someone who is Wiccan. Thank you.
