CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN!!! :D
---Luke's POV---
"So we have everything we need now," Nikki said, spreading all the ingredients out on a small table.
After the Wiccan shop, we had stopped for food, then Nikki's house to grab the rest of the things we needed. I had stopped into Nikki's room to grab the song lyrics I had stuffed in her bookshelf.
When we had gotten back to the hotel, we found Calum and Ashton cuddled in bed with only boxers on. Their other clothes were strewn about the room. They had obviously had a good time while we were gone.
Nikki was setting up the things, now. A cauldron sat in the middle of the table over a white chalk pentagram that she had drawn on a black tablecloth. A roll of red yarn sat next to the cauldron, too.
A set of candles were there, too, one on each side of the cauldron.
"Well, the only real big difference this time," she said, "Is that we aren't using voodoo dolls because we actually need us. Not representations."
We all nodded, kind of nervous, but excited at the same time.
"Are we all ready?" she asked, looking around. No one said anything.
"Okay, then. Let's start." she smiled and struck a match, lighting the candles.
"Oh, great goddess of nature, grant me the power to become another person as they become me. Allow me to switch bodies with the person I have chosen," she said. She had had me stand on the side of the cauldron opposite her.
"State your full name," she told me.
"I am Luke Robert Hemmings."
"I am Nikkolette Jane Carsons."
She threw a few herbs into the cauldron and picked up the yarn, wrapping it around our wrists, so that my left was to her right and vice versa.
"Switch our two souls. Make them skip bodies into each other's. Have them become the right person."
She took a candle in both hands, touching the flames together, and set the herbs alight.
A puff of blue fire shot upward out of the cauldron, lighting the yarn and burning it off of our wrists, leaving the skin untouched.
"Thank you, goddess for all that you have done. Merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again."
She put the candles down and blew them out. The herbs and what was left of the yarn was ash. They weren't even smoking or still on fire.
"So--" I started but was cut off by a pair of lips crashing to mine. I pushed the person off to find that it was Michael.
To which I screamed...pretty loudly.
"Michael! Why would you...!? Ewwww!" He looked at me, confused.
"I'm still Luke!" I yelled, which made his face go paler than normal.
"I, uh, I'm sorry. I just thought...." he swallowed. I took a deep breathe.
"It's...okay. You didn't know. But why didn't it work?" I turned to Nikki.
"Well, the first time we did the spell, it didn't work right away either, Lydia and I went to bed, and when I woke up...I was you," she said.
"So we have to go to bed?" Michael asked.
"That's our best bet," she said. I nodded and went to lay in bed.
"Wait, are you going to bed now?" Michael asked.
"Why not?" I replied. "It's late and I'm tired. Plus, it might make the spell work. So, yeah, I'm going to bed right now."
"Good idea," Nikki agreed with me. "I think I'm going to, too."
Michael shrugged and followed her, and Lydia joined me.
I didn't fall asleep quickly like I usually do, but I did end up falling into a deep dreamless sleep.
The last thought I remember was:
"Please let this work."
