First of all, I am sorry for not posting Saturday like I was planning too. Too much was goin on this weekend with myself and my family and I honestly forgot about it. But I really hope that posting will make me feel better even though it's the final chapter.

There won't be a sequel or an epilogue, because I don't want to ruin it.

Anyway.

Here it is: the actual last chapter.

CHAPTER THIRTY EIGHT!

---Nikki's POV---

I yawned as I woke, my eyes still closed, just basking in the feeling of being rested.

"Nikki!" my mom's voiced called from somewhere in the house.

Groaning, I rolled over and looked at the clock on my bedside table.

11:30 am

I blinked a few times and sat up quickly.

I was in my bed.

And I was highly confused.

Hadn't I fell asleep in the living room?

On a blow up mattress?

With Lydia, Michael, and Luke?

Why was I in my room?

Movement drew my eye back to the bed, seeing Lydia laying there, just waking up.

"Lydia?" I spoke her name gently, a bit scared as to what her answer was going to be to my next question.

"Mmm?" she mumbled, rolling over and looking up at me.

"What did we do yesterday?"

My fingers gripped the blanket tossed over me in anticipation for what I knew was going to come.

"We went swimming... And did that stupid spell, which obviously didn't work," she told me, rolling her eyes, now more awake than she had been a moment ago.

My hands went to my face, covering it.

"No. No. No," I said over and over. "It was a DREAM!?"

There was no way. It had felt too real, too amazing. There was no way it could have been a dream.

Michael....

He didn't know me.

We had never met,

Never fell in love,

Him and Luke never sang to us,

Never met us to switch back,

Never became ours...

Tears started falling down my face.

"Nikki?" Lydia's voice said my name softy. "What's wrong?"

"It was a dream," I told her between hiccup-sobs. "How could it have all been a dream?"

"Nikki....I don't know what you are talking about..."

"We met them. It happened. The spell worked and we met them. And you were with Luke and Michael was mine and it was perfect and they sang to us and we fell asleep in the living room....and it was all a dream!"

"Nikki! Are you coming to work with me today or not?" moms voice called from somewhere in the house, again.

"Nikki, it's going to be okay," Lydia said, calmly.

"No it won't," I told her, trying to breathe. "Yeah, let me get ready!" I yelled back to mom. "Come on, I'm making you come with me," I told Lydia, as I got out of bed and went to the bathroom, having stopped crying but I was still devastated. I made myself look presentable with makeup and fixed my hair, putting on some clothes and finally walking out.

"You look nice," Lydia said, smiling gently.

"Thanks," I replied. "So do you." I gave her a small smile. She had changed while I was in the bathroom, which she was walking into now.

"Nikki! I have to go!" moms voice called again.

"We're coming!" I told her, grabbing my phone and my wallet. I checked my phone for messages, only to bring myself down when I didn't see any that had been sent or received with Michael. I sighed and gave up, heading downstairs, as Lydia was out and ready.

"What's wrong?" mom demanded as soon as she saw me moping. I just shook my head.

"Good dream...really good dream," I told her, shrugging. She nodded, a sad smile on her face. She knew what I was talking about, not specifically, but she understood.

"Shall we get going?" she asked.

Lydia and I agreed and made our way to and into the back of the car, while mom got in the driver's side.

"Today is going to be a good one, girls," mom said, brightly. "We're bring a new client onto the label."

I just nodded, not very interested, but happy for mom nonetheless.

We arrived in no longer than half an hour, bypassing all the major trafficked streets.

"Hey, Rian," mom smiled at Rian Dawson from All Time Low, greeting him as we walked inside of the massive building.

"Hello, Mrs. Carsons," he replied, smiling as well. "And hello...." he trailed off, waiting for mine and Lydia's names.

"Lydia," she said. "And the sourpuss is Nikki," she told him an I shot a glare her way.

"I'm not a sourpuss, I'm jus in a bad mood," I told her. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Dawson," I said to the drummer.

"Please, Rian is fine," he said, laughing a bit. "I'll see you girls around probably, the guys and I have recording to do," he said, heading off in the direction of the recording studios. I gave him a curt wave as he left, and a small smile lit my face.

"Oh, now you're all smiley," Lydia teased, poking me.

"Hush," I told her, grinning normally now. I was still sad about the dream, but I had just met Rian Dawson... How could I be mopey?

Mom and Lydia went off ahead, me trailing behind a bit, as we made our way to her office. They talked about some things, but I wasn't really paying attention, thinking about other things and people.

A few second later, I found myself on my ass, looking up into the most beautiful green eyes I had ever seen.

"I am so sorry," the Australian accented voice spoke, holding out a hand that I deftly grabbed, a shocked look on my face.

"No! No, it's fine!" I said, quickly, taking his hand and letting him help me up. His pulling and my eagerness led me to overbalanced and practically fall into his arms.

"Hi," he whispered.

"Hi," I replied, blushing lightly.

"Oh, Nikki, meet Michael, he's one of the new clients. We are singing his band, 5 Seconds of Summer."
