CHAPTER THIRTEEN!!! :D

(This chapter has been edited for mistakes)

---Luke's POV---

"So, Nikki has a plan," Lydia said when we finished eating the leftover pasta that Nikki's mom had made.

"For what?" I asked.

"To change you two back."

"Oh. Okay. What is it?"

"Well, her mom works at a record company. And you guys haven't been officially signed, yet, right?"

"No, we haven't, but we've had people come up and ask us about it," I told her. She nodded.

"Well, Nikki said to basically have her mom know about you. Like, show her videos and stuff to get her to want to sign you. And Nikki usually goes with her mom to places, so if we get her to go, then you will for sure go. Then, all we have to do is have you tell her mom that you get bored when she works, so you would like to bring a friend, ergo me. And I would go with you," she said, explaining the plan to me. I sat there, shock on my face. The plan was well thought out.

"Okay. When does she usually get home?" I asked.

"Uhh, around 8. So, we have around two hours. And I don't have to be home tonight. But I have to go home tomorrow and be there by 4," she said. "So, we can start the plan tonight by playing your music and stuff around the time she gets home."

"That's a good idea. And Nikki came up with this plan all by herself?"

"Yeah. She has good ideas sometimes. And today happened to be one of those times," she said. I laughed a bit, as did Lydia. You could tell they were best friends just how they talked about each other.

"So, we have two hours to goof off?" I asked, just to clarify.

"Yeah...why? What do you have in mind?" Lydia asked, a bit suspicious.

"Well, you mentioned that you wanted to learn the guitar..." I trailed.

"Oh my gosh! You're going to teach me?" She was excited.

"No. I'm just saying that to mess with you... Yes, I'm going to teach you," I said sarcastically.

She stuck her tongue out at me before frowning.

"We don't have a guitar," she pouted.

"We can stop at one of Mrs. Carsons's recording studios right? They usually have instruments there so the musicians and bands don't have to lug anything around with them," I said.

"But we don't know where they are..." she trailed, shaking her head. I thought for a moment before coming up with an idea.

"What if we just ask Nikki's mom?"

"What?"

"Yeah. I mean, if we tell her the truth, that we want to learn how to play the guitar, she'll lend us one to use right?" I asked.

"I guess so, but then we have to wait until she gets back to ask."

Darn it. She was right.

"Then, we just find something else to do before she gets back," I said.

"But what?"

"You said that you like to write... Could I read something?" I asked, a small, hopeful, smile on my face.

"Uhhh, no," she said.

"Why not?" I pouted.

"Because it's...uh...fanfic," she said slowly.
