What We?

"Cinnyris, what are you thinking? this is too dangerous." Luke lectures me at the corner, drawing dramatic gestures in the air with his arms, somewhat reminding me of Ethan. I huff.

"It is anything but dangerous. Everything will be under my control, literally. There's nothing to worry about, unless the plan takes too long to be executed. Plus, is it fair? to let all those people suffer when we have this perfect ultimatum in our hand? Allow me to answer this question for you, it isn't fair, not one bit. We should be avoiding war, not the solution." I state, arms folded, eyes narrowed, and teeth clenched. I know I'm right, and he knows it too. He must let it sink in, that's all.

"But..." He mumbles, rubbing his neck and looking all sexy and shit. He can't buy that we were wrong all along, I can barely believe it myself. But mistakes are common, and this very mistake can be fixed. Don't try to makeup excuses Luke, this is it. No harm was done yet, anyways.

And there will be no harm done, now that I know.

"Fine... Fine. you win, your right." His voice comes out exasperated words present a smile on my face, or maybe it's his expression of defeat. It's cute. I shake my head at how lustful I'm feeling now.

"Still, I'll allow the training to carry on, no need to freak the pack. The twists and turns of the past few months already altered a lot, not to mention the spies all over. I went through the pack house files and picked out some with Ethan, but I'm not sure I got everyone . So, if we're to execute your plan, it must be done quietly. My father and Will can take care of things until we come back." He utters, and the smile on my face disappears. We?

"Luke, what we? I can't take you along, it'll be way too suspicious." I hiss, I can't go with him. He shivers after I say 'what we' and I instantly feel a pang in my chest, and my heart almost combusts with worry. I didn't mean it that way. I hope he didn't get it that way...

"Not taking me along would be too suspicious. I am you're mate. We have to go together, it'll be better, trust me." Luke says. I take a breath, some time, hover a leg above the grass. Nod. He is right. And my hopes were wrong. From the way he pronounced mate, I knew he got it the wrong way. Ugh.

"okay, but I'll go first, and Adam will come too, then you'll follow. Venice will stay here." I state my final terms and conditions and Luke grabs my hand and squeezes. It is happening, we're agreeing to do the right thing, for once. The look we share is real enough ti tell me that this is how it should go, not me disappearing to Italy, not him having another mate. It's us, fighting back.

"It's a deal, now back to your coach, I'll meet you in the house at six." He wraps up, kisses me on my nose affectionately and lets me go.

I head back to the gymnasium and find my way through the clusters of bodies all the way back to the main door, I pull it open and I see Mitch and the people I've been training with running over an old bridge.

Still running. Still on the go.

Dumbass Mitch.

I join the gang for more torture and we wrap the training up at seven. I'm late,  but Luke is even more late, this is one of our cute common features, but I'm not finding it so cute at this moment. Where is he?

I walk back to my room with Alice behind me. We're both dragging suit bags behind us, which we fetched from her parent's separate house. Alice's preparing me to lunch myself straight out of here. She promised she and Lucinda would take care of Venice when i leave her behind. I'm nowhere near sure about my decisions, and i know im too young to scatter people around, but i figured that by leaving Venice here she'll be taken care of. Luke won't throw her away, and there's Alice and Lucinda, I trust them.
