Luke's pov.
I had a dream i can't remember. It's making me queasy. I roll, the sheets are way too hot, suffocating. Another position, it's cooler, but it reheats pretty quickly. Screw sleep in such conditions.
I open my eyes and instantly attempt to rub the fatigue off, but then I find Cinnyris snoozing on a kinda far corner, she must've rolled off after all the fuss I've made. She snores from time to time, and I never thought I would ever say this about a snoring girl, but it's adorable
wish I could keep watching that beautiful face of hers like the creep I am for the rest of my life, and I'm planning to, but she's going to be upset, I almost always make her upset, but it's for her good. She thinks that she's always pulling off the right stunt, but I have other plans fixed up for her, for us.
She doesn't have to carry everything on her shoulders all the time. She's just a kid.I play with her hair in an attempt to wake her up, losing my fingers in a brown sea. I don't want her to leave my side, but I have to take care of some things if I want this plan to work, and it will work. it must. I'm watching her eyes as they sleepily flutter open, and I smile when I see the gold orbs staring locked inti mine, like a lost dream and a swirl of emotions she always kept locked. My breath hitches, nothing should be this intense just waking up.
"Good morning." I say weakly, God that effect she has on me. She just nods her head and walk to the bathroom, not saying a word, and I can't hide my disappointment. After the thirty minutes that I have spent staring at the door like a purposeless idiot, Cinnyris comes out with wet, recently combed hair, an off, shoulders white blouse, dark jeans and white Timberlands , looking gorgeous. I smile at her brightly, provoking her to smile back, only to recive a blank look. My wolf howls in pain and I feel the pain too, but it's better for me to get used to her being distant. I'm sure my plan is going to point out that side of her.
Plus, I saw her blush and smile to the floor. She's not so upset after all.
"I want to go check on Venice and Adam now." She says calmly. When she mentioned Adam I growled angrily, how can she care about him after the devastating state she was in yesterday, all because of him. Her face softens for a second, but it's gone as fast as it came. Then it came back, with even a sweeter look. I think it's because my face has been imitating hers the whole time time.
"Do you want to come?" She asks sweetly.
"Yeah sure." I respond , trying hiding my happiness but failing miserably. Her face breaks into a smile. We go to Will's room and the moment the door opens a mush of red curls runs to Cinnyris. "I missed you so much!" Venice whines, curling her fingers around the hems of her sister's shirt.
"I know you little munchkin, I'm sorry for leaving you. And everything, I'm really sorry." Cinnyris apologizes delicately as she plays with her sister's hair. It's time to get my plan going. And Venice is meant to participate.
"Venice, can I talk with you about something?" I gently ask the little girl.
"Of course." She responds wriggling between Cinnyris's arms trying to get down. Cinnyris lets go and Venice walks towards me with pride, liking the idea that I treat her like an adult. I swear this girl is impossible. Cinnyris shoots me a threatening look, but the glare wears off. She trusts me. I hoist Venice up on one shoulder, then walk her to the end of the hall. I put her down, then kneel, so that we're the same height. And then she stands up on the tip of her toes. One competitive pup.
"Venice, I want to ask you something, okay?" I ask, an eyebrow raised.
she nods.
Cinnyris's pov.
